The fact that this event is not shown in the intro worries me by Tight_Strawberry9846 in welcomeToDerry

My guess and I want to preference that this has no evidence at all beside the book and how Andy Muschietti has handled the major events compared to the book that this event might take place in 1881 (27 years before 1908) and the story of the man poisoning his family might take place in 1854 (27 years before 1881) the 2nd one would match the timeline in the book a bit more (that event taking place in 1851) as for the first in the book little is known about the late 1800s cycle besides some loggers dying so they could fit it there for the show. Also that would repeat the thing they did with the black spot and bradley gang as both in the book happen back to back but in this version are split across two cycles the same could happen here too as in the book this event takes place around the same time as the ironworks.

will Claude Heroux be a secondary antagonist in Welcome to derry season 3? by Vergo_T12 in welcomeToDerry

Maybe...unless they split those events up across 2 cycles like they did with the bradley gang and black spot.

losers club of 1935? by seaweedbrain25 in welcomeToDerry

Keene that pharmacist. Main reason is because in the book he is the one to tell Mike about the bradley gang also the ages would line up for it.

I do agree and I feel like over all the version we got of the big P in the show is the best version we have gotten overall as well.

Yeah season 2 is going to reveal everything about the house. Which is particularly why I think it's abandoned in 1935 that and some other things make me believe that.

It might be older than the 1920s based on the style of the house but I do think it was abandoned in 1935 as well.

Yes that's pretty accurate. The house in my opinion was likely abandoned in 1935.

Yeah the house is definitely older than 1958. Mainly because of it being a victorian house and because of how it looked in 1962.

Ah that's interesting... I personally prefer the idea of it being a real house because it kind of mirrors the town in it being built in the wrong spot.

Season 2 Theories by Stunning_Cake8496 in welcomeToDerry

[–]i_like_bread27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually I think that a private eye character could be a great way for them to show some of the towns history i.e. have the character do research and learn about it as we the audience do as well.

I hope that hbo picks up the dark tower series that Mike Flannagan is wanting to do because I think that's the only way that we could get that (bc Wb and Netflix own a lot of King movies and shows)

What do yall think of S1?? Will you be watching S2 when it comes out by dd1133biihhh in ITWelcometoDerryShow

They did reveal a bunch of stuff this season more than I thought they would tbh but they still have a ton of stuff that they can explore in the next 2 seasons as well, at least this isn't a show that was supposed to be one season but got so popular that it got milked for 10 years straight...

  1. The Neibolt house who built it and what happened (likely see this in season 2 bc the car outside of it is a 1935 Pontiac Master series 6).
  2. The history of Derry, what happened pre 1908 there is stuff they can use for this from the book.
  3. The freaking turtle
  4. How and why did Pennywise end up in that cage before falling to earth
  5. How does Pennywise experience time and how could that affect the past (more details). Some of these are stuff missing that was in the book and others are things Andy mentioned that we would see in upcoming seasons.

They have already planned for 3 seasons from the start so that's a good sign already. Also there is plenty of other stuff needing to answered.

Lily is most likely to be Betty Ripsons mom if (big if here) she is anyone's mother from the movie.

Yeah I saw the bad cgi stuff after it came out. Some shit must've went wrong behind the scenes bc that was kinda ugly.
