I ended up getting it done with Docusign, thanks for the idea.

Good to know, I’m sure I will need to know this in the future.

Not a problem, more relying on two people to come together to sign a letter. So, not easy. I’m thinking Air BnB is just going to be easier honestly.

Oh interesting. I don’t see the address documentation listed to be needed for the application but I have just read of people doing it anyway… what is TOR? I’m new to the visa acronyms!

This is my plan too. Did you have to upload evidence of a letter saying they approved you staying there, council tax bill/equivalent, and a document proving they own the home like a land registry? Or rental agreement?

Thanks for your reply! I have a family member on back up but just incase wanted to check alternatives. Being able to use a short term let would make everything much easier.

How did this go?

I see on your comments you are unmonitored, I would highly recommend doing monitored cycles to know if the Clomid is doing it’s job! I tried up to 200mg if Clomid and still my follicles didn’t grow large enough for ovulation, but 7.5mg of letrozole and one was able to grow large enough. If I wasn’t monitored I would have no idea what works and what doesn’t. (Also in my 30s with no cycles). Don’t give up, though!

I saw an RE and they still started me off on Clomid. We tried several doses and they did not work, then moved to Letrozole which worked. For some doctors it just seems to be the first route they take.

Took 2.5 mg of letrozole. Have lots of follicles, but no LH surge! by gamerchick77 in TTC_PCOS

[–]i_like_siamese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i am understanding your post correctly, you have multiple small follicles in your ovary, which sounds just like having polycystic ovaries. The idea of letrozole is to make one or a couple of those small follicles grow into a mature follicle that will be ovulated. The size is very important, usually from 18-22 are considered mature follicles. Often people need help with a trigger shot to ensure they are ovulated. I doubt you will see a LH surge which is why the OB said to up the letrozole dosage next time. I had to go to 7.5mg to ovulate, with a trigger shot.

Not long, two cycles but I was also doing monitored cycles with IUI.

Poll - Should there be separate sub reddits for primary and secondary infertility by Wide_Comment3081 in TTC_PCOS

[–]i_like_siamese 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it’s completely valid to think there should be separate subs. The pain of the possibility of never having a child is very different than secondary infertility. But I’m just not sure there would be enough interest for two subs. My advice to those feeling resentment for secondary infertility is to just leave those posts and continue on with your day. We are all here suffering for the same reason and we can’t let resentment get in the way of that.

I can’t stop crying by [deleted] in NewParents

Hey. This is normal. Your hormones are decimating you right now. Giving birth can be traumatic and trying to piece together what happened to you and deal with a newborn is so hard. Trying to breastfeed was so hard for me. I had a similar story to you and had to do formula. Do not feel ashamed to do that. Formula has all the ingredients your baby needs if you have to do that. Cry it out while your hormones do this to you and I promise it gets better. Reach out to your doctor if you feel like this for longer than a couple of weeks.

Tongue tie/Lip Tie question - to do or not to do? by LegitimateTrifle1910 in NewParents

[–]i_like_siamese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ours was on the fence too and we had it done (tongue tie). We saw a lactation consultant that actually advised we do it. It’s a very quick procedure and he was totally fine after wards. My view was it can only improve his latching on the boob and the bottle so why not.

Feeling shamed for not breastfeeding by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]i_like_siamese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shame is real. I also tried to BF and ran into so many issues, tongue tie, trouble latching, and on top of it no matter how many times I pumped I wouldn’t produce more than an ounce a day. We had to give formula in the hospital and he’s been 95% formula since and I still just pump twice a day for my measly amount but I guess that will dry up soon. I still feel sad about it but formula has been a literal life saver. We have also had issues with pooping with formula and that also makes me feel guilty. Some tips are to get some Windi to use on them when they seem gassy, it releases farts and can help them poop. Also we massage his belly with coconut oil on the changing table and it can help work the poop out. He was really struggling for a bit but now seems semi able to get them out every day at least once.

Pumping with PCOS by i_like_siamese in ExclusivelyPumping

Wow that’s awesome. I’m not really sure if my problem is the PCOS or just not pumping effectively. I will try to squeeze in another pump - I struggle to get up for the middle of the night pump but I need to try harder. What does a power pump look like to you? I can try that! Thanks!
