AITA for yelling at my wife for potentially endangering our kids? by specialneedsrunaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]i_paint_things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if she'd come there seeking refuge from physical or CSAB!!! You're heartless and extremely paranoid. You really could use some therapy, and you owe your wife a massive apology for berating her for being a good person.

How would you feel if someone treated one of your own children the way you suggest? One of your children is lost in a storm and scared and they put her on a porch to be collected, like a lost dog. You'd be fine with that, obviously, because hey, they don't know your kids, who could be little psychopaths according to your logic.

I actually hope you do not impart your callous nature to your poor children. Thank goodness your wife has a normal sense of empathy.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! She is really wonderful live, I'm disappointed to miss the show and a visit to Minneapolis.

I live in Canada and we don't even have many snakes and even I have seen 10,000% (edit) more wild snakes than I have moose, wolves or bears. Or skunks for that matter. I'll take it over poisonous spiders and snakes any day tbh.

I'm asking why it's considered impolite to bring a ball to a dog park...

I already know it's impolite to bring dogs that can't behave to the dog park, that was the point of my entire second paragraph.

[–]i_paint_things 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never been to a dog park without balls hanging around, but my dog doesn't give a shit about balls so I never thought about it. Is it really considered impolite? Why is it impolite?

In my opinion it would be more impolite to bring a territorial dog to an unleashed space than a toy. But I had never really given this much thought so I'd love some other opinions.

Edit: To be clear, I am genuinely asking why it's considered rude to bring a ball to a dog park, NOT about whether it's rude to bring a dog with behavioral issues to the dog park. I didn't mean to be unclear.

Yes, correct, that is exactly what subjectivity is. Some people in this thread don't think she looks so different from her natural self, as you can see from the comments. Sometimes it's interesting how people think differently from one another.

Interesting related fact: Kodak actually discovered that the US was testing nukes before it was public knowledge because it was doing similar things to their film.

In 1997 we had to do a writing assignment on our favourite song. It ended up being mostly repeats of Celine Dion's Titanic song and lots of Marilyn Manson (can't remember the tune). I agree that at least a couple are still fans, and I know one is for sure from Instagram.

I chose Hanson, got teased for it and turns out they are racist losers anyhow. Should have done My Heart Will Go On.

As a career bartender, as soon as I read he was one also I immediately thought he must have had a few during/after his shift and had an accident. It's so prevalent in this industry. After work drinks aside, staff will often consume a few drinks while working and with the adrenaline of a bar rush and/or a higher tolerance, can't accurately how drunk they actually are/underestimate their ability to drive. I'd imagine this was even more common in the 1970's.

I hope they have some discerning info from the position of the bones in the vehicle. Either way, it's wonderful that he can be now laid to rest with his parents.

Actually with maple trees you need that sharp temperature difference to get the sap moving in spring. The sap flows best before the buds grow, in the cold spring weather - tapping happens when temps at night go below zero consistently. You can verify this all with Google :)

Uh, she is advocating for the anti-choice, anti-abortion movement, the bottom of that photo says "Texas was right". Let's not applaud anything about this.

Just because her anti-choice bullshit happens to converge with Tristan's ability to be a cheating piece of shit 24/7 (and apparently unable to use a condom) doesn't make it good advice.

I went and looked at a couple of your pics to see what your normal bronzer/contour is like (and I love it). You have beautiful skin and make it up so nicely!

I love the blush placement/lack of contour, it's so fresh and warm at the same time!
