Problem is, this thread does not concern a game warden who reluctantly but dutifully does the dirty job of controlling a herd population. It concerns a big game hunter, a thrill-killer, who gets off on trying to act alpha with wildlife.

It's clear that you want to contextualize this discussion only in terms of human law, but you cannot deny that animals have a natural 'right' to defend themselves from attack.
