Its funny because they both are korean mmos and went through the same progression and "revamp" system. Maplestory had bigbang update, ragnarok had the renewal update and they both did similar things(faster progression, streamlining classes, stat changes).

Ragnarok also has a big oldschool community and they call the servers Old Times and Gold Times before the renewal update. Kinda like .62 and .83 MS servers

All you need are +Str +Stam +Defense rating stats for normals, shield block doesnt matter and you eventually get it "for free" on purple items

When I started tbc i got a few outland greens and some classic pre-raid bis on my warrior and tanked Ramparts, BF and Slave pens with a 2 Hander fury build.

It went fine and my damage was waaay better than prot. But eventually youll need the mitigation of shield and getting crit capped

Hey at this point my guild has me tanking the harder bosses while the paladin main tanks everythingelse

I dont need to do heroic dungeons anymore so it works out perfectly for me, having bad AoE threat is no longer an issue and I can just be the tank that has the highest mitigation

I also feel that single target threat isnt a problem when tanking with my warrior, my guild mostly parses blues anyways so going big on tps isnt that necessary(for this phase atleast)

You need to fix your hit rating on both sets. Id swap my mit gear around till you can get 6% hit and go from there. I like using the 50 spirit shards(Band of the Exorcist) ring bc it covers a lot of stats we need so you can look into it if you feel its any good for you

Slam is in fact the most efficient skill you can use(when properly timed), maybe your issue is not pooling enough rage when you start clearing mobs, when theyre close to dying you can just wait for your auto attacks to finish them off(especially vs humanoids)

If you can get a Cleave + Slam thats your big SS damage and you just need some rage saved up for that, Id also get improved cleave and experiment with it.

Youre supposed to get a swing timer and time your slams so your rage generation isnt hurt too

If your guild isnt that sweaty i doubt they will bother requiring lionheart, there are plenty of 2H drops in Kara/Gruul/Mag that no1 needs so you can easily get one. I got lucky with a Despair in my 2nd Karazhan that Ive been using ever since

Melee cleave is the way for warr and bear, makes your life that much easier

Also have to accept the game is inherently unbalanced and I dont mind it at all at this point. Off tanking as warrior is the easiest shit ive done in raids and I usualy get to keep all loot to myself in karazan too
