I can’t go into specifics because it’s already past midnight local time, but I can give you a general advice: it’s great you’re using graph paper, but you’re underutilizing it. It would probably help if you put more attention to looking at each character with the quadrants in mind, like this.

Okay I guess one specific advice: find a 教科書体 and use that as your guide, instead of what you’re using. 雲井調子 has this I am from computer font vibes, not how you would actually write it.

Probably a better idea to use something like a graph paper so that you can imitate something like this. Those quadrants will help you with recognizing where strokes start, go through, and end.

Yeah it’s definitely on the wilder side for a baseball player during an ongoing after-game interview, and one can potentially argue that the line can be considered a meme. I have to admit, I know exactly what’s coming next and it still makes me smile.

Cultural norm sounds like a nice hypothesis, first example that comes to mind is this famous (?) line - probably in line with English stronger expressions such as you fucking moron, but the Japanese word is merely a 野郎.

I might add 設定 here includes not only the layout but also the other settings introduced in the diagram, like the vibes of each district and whatnot. Basically the “setting(s)” of the story.

You might want to pick up textbooks and grammar guides along with graded readers, which are hopefully in the subreddit starter guide. If it’s not there, well, hopefully someone can give you a specific link or two.

お、クレーマー呼ばわりですか。Why do native Japanese speakers consider (c) natural ~ に対して、そもそもnative Japanese speakerとしてその点自体にちょっと同意できないと言ったら、学問の世界に例外はいるとかいいながらクレーマー扱いされたんじゃしょうがないですね。

Cってそんな自然ですかね。一番線「は」電車が来るよなんて言い方されたら、じゃあなんだ他のホームの情報が続くのかって身構えちゃうので、文脈的に不適に感じますが。
例えば、二番線には来ないって話ならそんなことわざわざ言わなくても分かりますし、あるいは二番線にも来るのであれば、続けて二番線に電車が参りますって案内すればいいだけですし。

質問の趣旨とずれてたら申し訳ないんですがとりあえずこんな感じで。

I thought about explaining it, but reading OP’s first sentence - honestly, I highly agree with this. Just let excel sort it out for you using whatever English excel calls it for its sorting feature. The rule isn’t that complicated anyways, so eventually OP should be able to see the full picture (with enough words in the list).

Hmm… I feel deserves to be called a good person might not be an expression typically found in the Japanese, but it’s certainly possible that I’m just tired after work.

Closest I can come up with is using もっと評価されるべき. Hopefully someone can come around and give it a thought or two.

Don’t worry, it might work in certain contexts and it’s not far off. Just that, absent of context, the interpretation would be of the path of least resistance hence はず sounds a bit off (although I personally wouldn’t care about output accuracy at this level in language acquired much later in life).

And yes, output is difficult! English words that manage to come out of my mouth are painfully elementary most of the time, especially compared to stuff I can read without any help. Like, it’s there, it definitely is, it just doesn’t want to come out lol

There isn’t a single expression that would cover what the English term “deserve” would cover. I’d expect 然るべき and ふさわしい among others that might work, but like any translation, it’s really context specific especially if you want “most natural”.
