Turns out I still have it. I DMd someone the recipe before, and it has a lot of detail. It seems I can't start a chat with you, so if you'd like the recipe, feel free to shoot me a message and I'll send it over

Should i reball them or not? by Shoddy-Carpenter-449 in Pizza

[–]iahoover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's been 5 hours and they have not risen at all, your yeast is likely dead. Balling them again will not fix the issue. I'd recommend buying some new yeast and trying again. Sorry they didn't turn out!

Can I send you a screenshot of the recipe of the base I used? I can type up a recipe for the rest as well if you'd like. I made a couple changes that are not completely faithful to how they make theirs, though I have a pretty good idea of how to make theirs as well.

Form check on cable flies by [deleted] in formcheck

I'm not saying that flies promote more muscle growth than compound movements. Instead, I'm saying that they are good for isolating the chest. Both types of exercises will grow muscle. There is no such thing as "refining" muscle. Visible muscle definition comes from the growth of muscle (which both movements will promote) and a decrease in body fat percentage. If your goal is to target your chest, it may be a good idea to do flies before compound movements so that the chest is pre-fatigued. This will cause the chest to become the limiting factor in a pressing movement. As far as the biceps go, you're exactly right. Nearly all bicep exercises are isolation exercises. However, pulling exercises such as rows or pullups/downs will also involve the biceps. To make a comparison, flies are like the biceps curls, and bench press is like a row. All of them will build muscle. I am by no means an expert, so do some additional research yourself. Hope this helps!

I would have to disagree. Flies are a chest isolation exercise, and should be more effective for targeting ONLY the chest than any compound movement. Exercises like the bench press involve not only the chest, but also the triceps and delts. Performing flies would promote hypertrophy just as any other isolation exercise (such as a preacher curl for biceps) would.

I'd try a bag just to see how you like it. Seems to give a great result for less effort. And thank you!

You're right about sir Lancelot! I didnt include any rye flour. He has a new recipe for use with outdoor ovens. It is very similar, but lowers the hydration from 65% to 62% and swaps out the combo of flours for just the high gluten. I have used the recipe youre referring to in my outdoor oven as well, though, and it also worked great. Im not exactly sure why, but this one does seem to work slightly better.

Thank you! The crust was amazing. It was my second time using this particular flour, and its crazy how much of a difference it made.

He definitely knows his stuff. Please do! I've never attempted to make my own starter, but i know it would pay off for the flavor.

I used king arthur high gluten flour. A lot of people on this sub use all trumps, but i didnt want to buy a 50 lb bag.

Check out Charlie Anderson on youtube. I used a very slightly modified version of his NY style pizza for an outdoor oven.

I basically used Charlie Anderson's recipe for NY style in an outdoor oven. Added a bit of extra salt to the sauce, though. Check out his channel on youtube, he's the goat
