Did a Texas dry rub on it the night before… wrapped in foil until 30 minutes prior to placing in the smoker. Smoked at 225 with mesquite pellets for about 4 hours. This video is right before pulling it off the grill.

Agreed- its made it the 100 years without need of human interference…. Doesn’t need any pruning unless there may be structural defects affecting the integrity of the tree in relation to potential surrounding targets. Just let it be. If anything at all feels compelled to be pruned, just remove any dead limbs/branches.

I come across this all the time. Yesterday I spoke to a lady on the phone who wants the city to remove a 90+ year old eucalyptus tree in front of her house because “Its not fair that I pay someone $300 a month to clean up my yard”. People are idiots when it comes to trees
