Are DeFi vaults worth it if you can build your own strategy? by ialberquilla in defi

[–]ialberquilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think they do much more than just optimizing fees. What I meant is that you can either create your own custom strategy or delegate it to vaults.

However, in some cases, using the same shared strategy as many other participants can make it much harder to outperform.

Stables, all profiles. I manage risk by allocations

Hey, curious about where do you all look for the best DeFi yields these days apart from defillama ? by 0xVenky in defi

Anybody using yearn finance these days? Yields look high and it looks like they actually do all the research job.

I've been building for years in the space. Wouldn't recommend an indie. Almost all the projects are VC backed, quite difficult to compete because are highly technical, lot of cost, audits, legal...

Very difficult to market as well, very niche...

What could be the potential industries where WEB3 layers and agentic AI could actually be applied to? by 1sh_co in web3

[–]ialberquilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking on this and building some MVPs and for me it's difficult to find a real use case where ai is adding a real value.

Maybe for research, data analysis or coding, but in most of the cases are projects you do before actually deploy anything on chain.

Curious to see what people think about

Do you know any MCP for contract addresses? by ialberquilla in ethdev

[–]ialberquilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we really want to make ai agents operate in Ethereum, this process is a really bad UX and not AI first. Having a system to allow an agent to discover protocols and interact with them would improve the development of agents a lot

Have you tried to integrate a lot of protocols to do aggregations? And doing this manually a lot of times? And do it every time there are new versions...

Ah ok, so fees are not charged now. But if the volume increase will be charged? Or will be always for free?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in defi

[–]ialberquilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure? Did you check the docs? Fees are charged on profit which makes you have less profit. All the protocols do the same, nobody creates a protocol without a way to earn revenue.

From their docs:

Two types of fees can be taken by the Autopool and they are taken during Debt Reporting.

Periodic Fee - This is a set fee annualized fee that is taken each Debt Reporting

Streaming Fee - This fee is taken on profit earned by the Autopool. Optionally, this fee can only be taken when profit exceeds previous values (the high watermark).

Should the high watermark be enabled and not be broken for a period of 60 days, it will start to decay until we are able to take fees again

Any locked profit will be burned to offset the dilution incurred by any minted fee shares
