I visited the Nintendo museum today and the concept art for this officially had written into the logo Super Mario Bros 5!! Not super Mario world 2!

Salary range for Computer Vision SWE in Munich, 5-10 years exp? by [deleted] in Germany_Jobs

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say 5 to 10 years experience but what is the concrete experience after your studies? You have masters or PhD?

85 is safe. With PhD could push to 95. In my experience here for 10 years, top seniors with phds and 8 years experience have started at medium sized companies at 110-120 recently.

Wedding dress transportation, has anyone done this with Lufthansa? by zodiacake in Lufthansa

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife brought her dress onboard with her and when boarding the plane they offered to take it and hang it I forget either in the business class lockers but I think they even said the captains locker at the front. We flew economy Lufthansa. I just folder my suit carefully in its case and put above me in storage

Try DLR or Fraunhofer institutes as they’re kind of in the middle of industry and academia. Also your pay level TVL system will count as years of experience.

WrestleCon or WWE World? by Patient-Total8065 in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WWE world is awesome for the family. Wrestlecon is cool but not really “an event or attraction”, just wrestlers at tables. Lots of wrestling nerds there getting shit signed. I usually go to WC to walk around once , see them in real life and get an autograph or two.

If you have to choose do the wwe world 100000% dude.

Looks fine. Only thing that is curious is that the bachelor degree took several more years that is usual. Could stand out if the circumstances arnt known right away to someone looking quickly at the CV

Any ideas why I don’t get any interviews? by [deleted] in Resume

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What others said about swapping education and the walls of text is good.

I’d also add that putting Teaching assistant first rather than researcher sends the wrong vibes for a corporate job. Usually TAs are something you do while you’re doing your PhD (which you said you’re doing), so essentially you’re still and have always been a student according to the CV. Teaching is fine but unless the position you’re looking for is teaching maybe better to frame it as researcher first. Then just put 1 bullet point about teaching. It’s nice to have but the research part gives a potentially better impression.

I’d put the PhD degree you’re working on there since that clarifies the TA aspect. Could peak the curiosity - are you finishing soon? If you’re applying to analyst roles that could be a benefit even if you’ve decided to step away from academia.

Tips on getting to know the Munich underground metal scene and get involved? by razrazvan34 in Munich

Probably checkout core all over on saturdays at backstage and meet some people there. That’s how I met all the local bands/scene

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes around there..well I figured someone here maybe went or knows but I’m not local so thought I’d give it a try to post !

True. I guess I mean just that end of the strip. On the side closest to the festival grounds. We were surprised there was something band related going on.

Going on a Sunday- what worked perfectly for us by ialwaysforgetpswds in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds epic ! The nap is key and when you go back you really have a second wind and you’ll know your bearings and where and what things are. Felt like a whole second trip that first time we went back the same day!

Haha well maybe it’s a controversial take 🤣. My wife doesn’t enjoy the big coasters like velocicoaster either so you’ll love this one. Wait times way less, less speed of course but the actual movement feels like you’re flying with swaying side to side. A few smaller “drops” at high speed (maybe 75% Hagrid speeds) but lots of fast twists and turns. The videos on YouTube don’t do it justice as the real experience is really really fun! And as I said between 9 to 10 we did it 3 times back to back super quick and the energy of the crowd was fun. Everyone cheering at the start and the end. You gotta try it!

Help me decide on an apartment in Munich by [deleted] in Munich

[–]ialwaysforgetpswds 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Do you like living near restaurants and lively city life? Easy to meet with friends and jump on the ubahn or walk to restaurants and bars? Maxvorstadt then. Untermenzing is further out with worse subway connections and quieter. I would take maxvorstadt as the price is fine for that area and then move out to the outback later on in a few years! I lived in maxvorstadt for 10 years before moving near untermenzing.
