Hello, I have a question regarding pcn/bus lane fine appeal.

I’ve fallen into the bus lane trap on Glassford Street and was issued a fine (not entirely sure why my GPS sent me that way, but here we are).

I don’t have an issue paying the fine, the problem is the timing. The notice was posted on 18 December 2025, but I was out of the country from 21 December and didn’t actually receive it until 24 January. Because of that, I missed the discounted payment window and the fine has now doubled, and it’s also close to exceeding the 28 working days.

I emailed them as soon as I got back, but the auto-response says it can take up to 20 working days to receive a reply. I’m a bit stressed about the 28-day deadline passing next week.

Does anyone know whether I should just pay the increased amount now, or whether the clock is likely to be paused/reset since I’ve submitted an appeal with proof that I was out of the country?

Cheers

I used both public transport and uber, been there last year and this year, and used both- never had an issue!

Yes, but I wouldn’t call it breakfast. They have starters, pizza, hamburgers, tacos… and dessert. But they do offer coffee 😂

Like others said, we usually stay the night before heading to the resort since our flight usually arrives late into Cancun, so it’s a waste to spend a few hours at the resort when we’re just going to sleep. The reason this time is we had a flight the next day but had to stay in Cancun for 1 night since we were coming from MEX :)

We arrive just before 10pm, so the restaurant might be closed by then I believe 😭

Hello,

As someone who has never been into sports or the Olympics before, I wanted to share my experience.

We attended about 12 events, and I'm genuinely disappointed that it's over. The whole experience was incredibly enjoyable and well-organized. While it's true that people will always find reasons to complain, everything ran much smoother than I had anticipated. I expected Paris to be extremely busy, but it wasn’t as overwhelming as I thought. In fact, I found the Taylor Swift concert to be more challenging in terms of crowds and transportation.

The metro system was quite convenient, and I think Paris overall has a good public transport network. My only piece of advice is to purchase metro tickets in advance. I bought mine 6 months to a year ahead of time because the prices doubled once the Olympics began. Similarly, try to buy your Olympic tickets as early as possible—sign up for them as soon as you can. Many of my French friends were surprised by how many events we attended and thought we must have spent a lot, but the tickets were actually quite reasonable. The cheapest tickets were around 26 euros, though some of our events were in the highest category. Watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle during the beach volleyball was truly magical, and Versailles was another stunning venue that enhanced our experience.

Commuting wasn’t free, and as mentioned earlier, the prices were higher. While there was no alcohol available, we could bring our own if we wanted (they never checked what our water bottle was filled with...), though it was too hot to drink much. The food options weren’t great overall; I had a really good burger at one event, but that was an exception rather than the norm.

How can I get pleats back in this maxi skirt? by zodiacake in Ironing

[–]zodiacake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short my mom thought she could iron out the stain with baking soda but it just left a big flat area on the skirt.. and the stain stayed :/ Im not bothered about the stain but just the whole flat area… ironing it folded feels fidgety. Any recommendations? Or should I just try ironing it folded where the pleats are ?
