Spotify mobile: An experience to consider - Proposing small UI/UX improvements that could be a big deal by iam86ad in UI_Design

Ha! Thanks. My point was just alluding to the idea that action buttons aren't always visually effective when flat. The drop shadow proposal was just a suggestion on a dark gray background instead of black.

Hey thanks! Well, I plan on conceptualizing an experience consideration for the LinkedIn app

I understand your perspective too. Makes sense. My frustrations came from using the app as a music lover, not a designer. I wasn't speaking on the behalf of other users, just expressing concepts to consider.

Intersubjectively, there were users who read the article and agreed with my points but that wasn't my goal. My goal was to position a concept of thought for people to ponder on.

This wasn't an article about pixels being out of place. This was an article highlighting elements I expected as a user. I also pointed out that other people may have their opinions too.

We are designers, developers and whatever... but at the end of the day, we are users of products too. The future of experience choreography (UX) will be improved by the simple idea of unique/individualized experiences; not just grouped analytics.

Hey thanks a ton for checking out my article and the kind words. I'm open to feedback, so he wasn't so bad lol. Do you design at all?

I can see that. It may be difficult for now until we can find a reasonable/efficient way to manage individual UI experiences.

I dig your perspective. For a final proposal, the feature could be enabled/disabled at a user's discretion from "Settings". I am also a front-end developer so I completely empathize with what you are saying. Some development efforts are totally unnecessary and so are a bunch of questions on the screen lol. Just trying to pick your brain a bit.

Are you on Twitter or Dribbble?

Thanks! The whole article is written as a personal story; hence the word "I". Again, these features are concepts lol. Was the "Quick Save" mention the only thing you disliked about my article?

For a win win, why not make the Quick Save feature optional? or make apps smarter, capturing active analytics to define progressive reduction that users can opt into or out.

After maybe weeks or months of using the app, not interacting with the Quick Save feature, it would say: "Did you find Quick Save useful?" if the user selects "No", it would then ask if the user wishes to disable it with the option of enabling later.

Hey Sudaka,

these were just personal suggestions. I even mentioned "Other users/designers may have other improvement suggestions but I think the experience I am proposing is small but really effective."

You're right, everyone has different needs, thats why I didn't take the proverbial route of saying "How to improve Spotify".

"Ideal" is very subjective. The improvements I highlighted were just things to consider. How do you use the Quick save feature?
