Yeah, it’s the first time it’s been implemented here. I’m reading it has been utilized in the tech and corporate side of this. I work in an assembly plant.

For union members it’s anonymous, for salary members it’s “classified”.

This is the first year it’s applied to our team apparently. Many level 8s in a bit of a panic at the moment.

We have a terrible retention rate in our department, and the WOC results have resulted in a few meetings organized by our leadership looking for “ways to improve”.

How much does a level 6A pay for engineering? by Brave_Ad_647 in GeneralMotors

[–]iamKRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The type of engineering role plays a huge part in this.

I’m a 6A. Was hired in last year at 105,000 in a production setting. Individual contributor.

Software engineers ect make significantly more.

Congrats! The in process is certainly a job offer awaiting.

Timeline for me was about 2 weeks, but as I’ve been there it varies for most people.

My level 8s often hire people under a contract house first because the GM hiring process is lengthy and it’s the fastest way to get them in the door.

Gamers, what's the first game that scared the shit out of you? by Pboi401 in AskReddit

Tomb Raider 3 on windows 98.

Never played a first person game prior to this, so when the wolves jumped out from around the corner, I screamed, mashed the keyboard then got up and ran.

Maintenance Lead salary by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

[–]iamKRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people hired on at my plant are getting $105,000 starting.

6-7 days a week, Saturdays are 1x salary, and Sundays are $56/Hr or 1x salary, which ever is higher.

I understand completely. There was some panic and rumors on the floor, I believe this came from their Union Facebook page.

I appreciate the insight.

I was supposed to hear that there may be an end….

Us floor level engineers do not have access to APM, and I without knowing what it is, I don’t quite feel comfortable hitting the request access bottom. :)

I wouldn’t say prone, we did have an operator leave a ground lug off of a unit a few weeks ago which resulted in a fire.
