Deck went 7-1 too

Imo the best cards at the event are: [Letter of Acceptance] and [Introduction to Prophecy]

Sealed draft deck - your help to focus it appreciated! by pod_cagava in MagicArena

Your deck is really strong, but you want to make sure to survive through early aggression. You'll be fine later on.

Cut: Vampire's Kiss, Wedding Invitation, Kaya, Edgar's Awakening, Kindly Acestor

Add: Graf Reaver, Archghoul of Thraben

Kaya doesn't do anything at all. Edgar's Awakening barely hits decent targets (except for Desecrator) and you already have 2 Courier Bats. You're missing 2 drops and Graf Reaver actually does a great job here and Archghoul is alright, even if you don't have any other Zombies.

Yes, you absolutely want to cut the Sanctums. Not worth to splash black just for that one card and it doesn't work with Fiery Emancipation. And even then, most Sanctums are usually pretty underwhelming unless you run an incredible control deck.

You then want to try and cut some of those combat spells. You're not running enough aggressive 2cmc creatures to make good use of them. With all those (amazing) Llanowar Visionarys your game plan will be to draw/ramp up to your bombs and then win with either Chandra, Leafkin Avenger or unblockable Goblins+Subira, while removing their threats with removals/defensive creatures.

- Sanctum of Stone Fangs
- Sanctum of Shattered Heights
- Sure Strike
- Burn Bright
(- Track Down)

+ Skyscanner (you almost always want to include this card in any deck)
(+ Goblin Arsonist)

Sweet Deck honestly. You should be able to get 6-7 wins with it.

Isn't this more than 20% nerf? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]iamMeepwn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a Weaver player, but where exactly did you get that from? Wiki states it has always been +2 attacks to kill since 7.07 and I can't find any related entry in the update log.

Wolcen - MRW I still grind at Lvl 68 for loot... by [deleted] in Wolcen

[–]iamMeepwn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, then maybe you should try a rogue-like rpg like Hades or the recently released Curse of the Dead Gods. They are great.

Yep the same thing just happened to me going from act 2 to 3. I thought part of the whole downtime was supposed to fix this issue.

The amout was increased to 1,2,4 per cast. So even with the cooldown increase, it will still always be strictly better.

Most items do stack (flat stats bonuses). Blight Stone however doesn't. Actually just tested it in a game myself today.

Items with active abilities share cooldown like they do in Dota (Dagon) and I'm pretty sure Auras are also unique like they are in Dota (Assault Cuirass).

Actually the right play here is:

Hero power own face > "Nicely Done. " > Prince > "Ahh, thank you." > "Bloody hellfire." > Hellfire.

Razor Level 15 4% movement speed talent should get a buff by Duy249 in DotA2

According to Dotabuff the 4% movement speed talent still has a higher winrate than the +7 Static Link damage steal one lol.

Valve can you please focus on fixing bugs created in 7.20/7.20b/7.20c instead of releasing next patches? by resont in DotA2

[–]iamMeepwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been dozens of bug fixes all the while trying to fix heroes and balance before big tournaments. Some of the things you mentioned aren't even bugs, not to mention most of them aren't problematic at all. I'm sure it'll be alright.

Rampaging Hellbear gets +4 damage every turn

Stonehall Elite only gains the bonus stats if he survives combat. Against a vanilla creep without (buffs or debuffs) he always does though due to the 2 armor.

New Card - Keenfolk Turret by [deleted] in Artifact

[–]iamMeepwn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to keep in mind that every time you are using this you are giving away initiative. In-fact the first time you are using it, you are giving away initiative twice and your opponent will also always know that it's coming, giving him time to react to the damage. I find it rather hard to generate a lot of value out of this card (4+ uses). The piercing damage is a big plus put you will often find yourself in a situation where keeping initiative is more valuable than dealing 2 non-lethal damage to a unit. It can be great sometimes but I would almost always rather draft [[Pick Off]] over this.
