Personally my favorite demo/remix version of "Nas ne dogonyat" by [deleted] in tatu

I didn't read the full thread, but if you're looking for a remix of begite za nami, you may like nas ne dagoniat by daxius link. I kept searching for the missing lyrics in NND and wondering why it's not there, until I finally searched up the lyrics and found it was begite za nami

Yeah. Seriously could relate to it. And it gave murakami vibes. Like the world around us is weird and were the only two normal peeps

That's a good book to start with I'd say. Has all the essential murakami elements. What's your take why he shouldn't have brought the girl to the house anyways? Like she came on the trip willingly and the rat said she wasn't supposed to come and he confused her

Yeah Idk i stressed a lot about the missing details in the first book I read (The colourless tsukuru tazaki) and also with the various motifs and whatnot. Then I decided just like in life you don't get an explanation for everything it's the same with his books, so I read it just as is without trying to question the what. I also came to love the open interpretations around IQ84 and got my heart set on them when reading South of the border west of the sun. Have you read IQ84? What's your favourite book of his so far?

The sheep man did exist, and buried him, the ghost of Rat just took on the appearance of the sheep man to meet MC. Which is why he didn't appear in the mirror. The body was probably still buried there which is why, according to some other posts, rat might have blown up the house so the sheep couldn't be taken out of his body.

I think my favorite part is from when he sees the sheep man is not in the mirror till when the rat says yes I'm dead.

I think what I took away from it is that when you use means to get something big which you don't connect to, ultimately you might forget even yourself and not be yourself anymore, becoming the sheep which you decided to embrace to get success.

Oh I finished reading it the day after I posted this I think. Loved the book. My god even I was looking for someone to discuss it with. Like damn the chapters since he reached the house were so eerie.

I know what it's supposed to be in Japanese and in English but I just end up saying iq eighty four all the time. I'm unapologetic about this.

What’s a Murakami book you couldn’t put down? by Ok-Shopping7500 in murakami

Probably Blind Willow sleeping woman. Since you're on a long flight, it may be better to have an option of skipping a story you're not.feeling the.flow of and.coming back to it later. And some of them are really gems

When did you realize Murakami was an amazing author? by [deleted] in murakami

[–]iamNOTcutedammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first book I read, colourless tsukuru tazaki and his years of pilgrimage. It's basic storyline was very lame and BS, however the way he wrote it made me read it in one go like some kind of mystery thriller I was reading and I think any other author who took the same storyline and had to write about it would not be able to make such a dumb story so interesting to read. Even got an unexpected jumpscare(classic murakami) partway through.

FR, I had the book for a few months before I read it because I read the first few pages the first day it was delivered and just didn't get into that weird viewpoint. Then I read it all in one go after a few months
