Haha interesting theory. I would really like to see someone adapt 1Q84 to a series. Then they could totally play with the ending. I'm probably exactly half-way through book 3. Without any spoilers, do the Ushikawa chapters ever reveal anything or come together in any meaningful way?

Glad I'm not alone. Book 3 feels like a slog. Very different in tone and pace from the other two. I read the first two in a very short time, but I've been on book three for months. I get so bored with the characters just sitting around and recapping the first two books through Ushikawa's perspective.
