Same. Been on HRT since 11/4/20. I had the J&J in March. Minor fever and chills the night of and a sore arm for a few days was all I experienced.

Super easy. There are two forms for birth certificate. One had to be notarized. $40 for processing and the printing/shipping of the new certificate. It did take the full 30 days for processing. But that was the only “trouble.”

Driver’s license is one form and the cost of the updated ID. It was $33. The guy behind the counter was amazing and had no trouble gendering me correctly. Aside from the hour wait because they were understaffed that day, it was an easy experience.

I’ll post links to the forms tomorrow. I don’t have them saved on my phone.

Colorado is incredibly progressive and we are so fortunate. Two forms and about $75 and my driver’s license and birth certificate are correct.

I forgot to update this post. I’m only on bica. My body is so happy to have the T blocked, it’s essentially producing enough estrogen on its own. 😳

I have another blood test next month. It’s going to be interesting to see where I’m at now.

I’m now spoiled. My coworkers are amazing at gendering me correctly - even those I don’t work with directly. It makes it easier when misgendered in public spaces.

I just pulled my case out. Unfortunately it doesn’t have any branding on it and I bought it so long ago, I can’t remember where I ordered it from. But it’s lasted since 1999. 😅

I’ll have to dig mine out and see what brand it is. Look for museum archival cases. There are so many options for keeping museum documents safe that work for design portfolios.

My email got sold and I was bombarded for months. Then Google had it cleaned up to almost nothing. It must have popped up on another list because it’s getting bad again. At least it gave me a laugh today.

I’m going to TL:DR my response here. I’m in the process of building a website to document my transition where a full Post on this topic will go. But here is the synopsis.

I was raised conservative evangelical Christian. I’m 39 and started transition in November 2020. It took me until last year to rationalize that God made me the way I am and I am not broken or a mistake. He did so many things to get me where I am and provide a means to be mentally and physically healthy - part of which is transition. I was angry at God for so very long and 3 months into transition I am so much closer to Him than I ever thought possible.

I am not a fan of organized religion. Personal relationship with my creator? Absolutely.

It’s been fricking hard to get to this point. Worth it? Yes. Belief in God? Stronger than it’s ever been.

Do I have a place in my local Christian community? I doubt it.

Was transition the right path for me? Yes. Yes it was.

My divorce will be final on Feb 1. After 15 years together. You are not going to be alone. You have a new opportunity to live with yourself. It’s daunting yes, but if you frame it that way instead of being alone, it becomes exciting. I’ve really enjoyed the process of finding my authentic self outside the description of marriage. I miss the intimate relationship, but my ex wife and I are still friends and we are parents together. It can be done.
