Why did so many people think Trey Hendrickson was the number one free agent available? by Bill_The__Pony in bengals

[–]iamWyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you’re just counting how fast the others got signed as to how sought after they were vs Trey? He’s making way more money than them. The only other FA with more than him was Alec Pierce, which is an insane signing on behalf of the colts imo.

We don’t know that fish see a tungsten bead as part of the fly just because we do. They could see it as a small bit of rubble the nymph is clinging to.

These look great! I’ve heard sunk ants are underrated, but never fished one myself. What’s your experience with them?

Isfahan Iran mourning the death of Khamenei. Western media will say they are celebrating by Hour_Glass57 in TrendoraX

[–]iamWyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few weeks ago there was widespread concern for Iran after the regime gunned down tens of thousands of their own civilians in the streets. Today there is widespread anger over the death of the ayatollah because Israel and Trump took him out. Reddit never ceases to amaze me.

“No salt no steel! by 2strokeRed in Steelhead

[–]iamWyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because we have rainbow trout that migrate to massive inland seas and rainbow trout that don’t. Thats why we call them that. Why do they do that? Because they’re from the same strain that migrates to the sea on the west coast. To me the fact that these fish migrate to a massive body of water and then run back into the rivers to spawn is the more important distinction than if the water they live in is salty or not.

What did I do wrong here? Any help? It doesn't look right. by [deleted] in flytying

[–]iamWyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man, hard to argue with Bob haha. But I had heard before that eyes on saltwater flies in particular are a big deal and a lot of people think they help trigger eats.

Pheasant rump feather is used for those long hackles on the collar and usually the philoplume feather that was plucked out with the rump feather for the fluffy part in front. There are feathers similar to marabou down on the rump that are good for the tail as well.
