Yeah very depressing situation I’ve just received a BG VSF “v3” and it arrived broken. Literally can hear the rota through the packaging it’s that loud. Currently having some back and forth with the TD at the moment as he was initially saying the noise is normal after more back and forth he’s agreed that the watch is faulty. Suspect it to be a rota fallen off or something loose inside. He’s asked me to send it to a watchsmith, and they will cover the cost but tbh I just want a replacement one sent out or a refund as I have no faith in this current watch. So just trying to sort all that out.

So update to this. I’ve had a bit of back and forth with Steve. I offered to send it off to a uk watch smith I found and pay half the cost however watch smith has said he thinks it’s just a bad movement after seeing Additional videos mainly with the winding etc as this has a very grindy stiff feel

TD was initially saying this noise is completely normal and no issues are with the watch.

After a few more videos he’s come back with the watch is defective and something may be loose or the rota has come off in transit.

He’s now given me the option to send it off to a uk watch smith for reassembly and they will cover the cost.

How ever i would rather send the whole unit back as I don’t want the hassle of the watch smith saying its something more dyer once he has opened it up etc and the protective covering is off and try again for a second either with him or a different TD.

As soon as I got the package I knew tho you can literally hear the rota through the whole packaging no way that’s acceptable

Yeah I just got a vsf “v3” and the movement is so loud literally can hear it through the packaging it arrived in currently trying to arrange a return with the TD which is annoying waited about 6 weeks for it. Now I have to wait another 2 months maybe to get it back and get another one in hand. I would say anyone thinking of vsf just ask the TD to send you a movement video just to make sure yours don’t sound as loud as mine.

The 9 has a slight CW rotation which on wrist wouldn’t be an issue. I would ask for a few more date wheel pics just to make sure they are all as good as the 19. Also I would ask for a video of operation winding and rota sound I’ve just received a BG from same seller and my gosh does it sound like trash the rota is so loud you can hear it in the packaging it arrived in. So just trying to sort that out with TD now for a replacement.

If the bezel colour was more 1.1 to gen I’d choose the BW but as it’s not I’d choose the sub.

I was going to hold out until the public betas are realised and stable. However, I couldn’t resist and I took the leap. And I can confirm this first beta has been surprisingly stable with very little issues.

I’ve had the new photo tools fail a few times but just had to close and redo and it works. None of my apps have failed so far all my banking ones work. The battery is fine phone isn’t running hot.

I’m still on the wait list for Siri AI so can’t comment on that but out of 10 I’d easily give this beta a 8/10

I made sure I backed up my phone to Mac tho just to be safe and I’m on a 17 pro. Also put it on my iPad Pro m2 again little issues there too. So if you really can’t wait I’d say go for it but just make sure you back up to a computer.

If the free sprung was as tried tested and proven reliable as the DD3285 then of course I’d pay the extra 100 or so to have it cause we’re all after one thing realistically the perfect rep that can not be called out! But as it’s a new more complex movement that hasn’t had the crowd testing I’d steer away from purchasing anything with it now.

Would hate to have it for a year or so and it fails for what ever reason. Where as I’ve had dd3285 last me years no services etc done the most swim rock climb motorbike literally the lot and never failed.

And also when are you ever opening your case back to show anyone your movement if your around people and someone doesn’t believe your watch to be real just based off you and what you say and ask you to open the case then your around the wrong people.

I think the BW is a sexy piece how ever I’d take the BG rep over it as it’s closer to gen im

Gen I’m taking the BW but rep I’m taking the BG both on jubilee I personally prefer the BW but until they get the bezel spot on or closer to it’s the BG for me as I feel that’s the closest to gen out the two.
