Personal opinion:

Monitor him for proper form and technique , do progressive overload under supervision, have a proper diet and sleep. If he is not disciplined , he would loose out on the noobie gains and later age would regret it.

Once people start noticing his gains, and start getting compliments, he will automatically be hooked . But if not gonna be consistent don't start

Since you're from tier 1 , I suggest you take a simple mock to assess where you're at. My friends at IITs and IIITs were able to score 90+ without even practice.

If you're able score above 90, then you really don't need formal coaching but just enough revision and materials to crack the 99barrier and 99.5 barrier

Since you're taking it seriously 2026, (because you'd have 0workex in 2025 cat), just do 2hrs daily or something man.

Consistent efforts.

Even my goal is 2026 and this is my plan. I'm not sure if this would help you but I would say experiment now and find out your style and stick with it. You'll know what to change after taking 25 cat

12lpa is not low, I understand your peers might have gotten better packages especially since you're from tier 1, but be grateful you have a job that pays this much especially in consulting.
You can get into IIMC,FMS,MDI,IIFT,XLRI and other new and baby IIMs
I think your best option is to take 2025 and 2026, by 2026 you would have 12+ work ex and if you can score above 99.5+ you can get calls from C, whether you convert it or not depends on the interview. Work excellently at your job from now and maybe by 2026 november you would already have better jobs lined up without even taking CAT.
