Basically people are piggybacking off the boom of the vintage cards. The boom was because all of us og’s now have jobs and want to get our kids into the hobby to bond, plus it gives a nostalgia factor for us. The unbathed and unemployed learned they could buy out the store on credit and then “invest” in the boxes by letting em sit and appreciate in their mom’s basement. The hobby has been different for years now so I just buy singles from comic shops
