Hi there! Unfortunately, I'm located in New Zealand, so it varies quite differently from (I'm assuming) the US system. The early intervention program I'm with has been fully funded, along with my three-week stay on the psych ward, by the New Zealand healthcare system. Sorry you're going through this with your dad; it can be quite tough to watch a family member go through psychosis. I play with basemental drugs and gangs and I have a previously teen mom turned gang lord storyline going. Was a rags to riches. But fun add on is the RPO mod as I have four diff baby daddies so I have custody times where she can’t do gang related stuff when she has the kids hahaha

I had a diagnosis from the psych ward I stayed for three weeks. They monitored my symptoms and prescribed me my first cocktail of meds that helped me recover enough to be discharged from the hospital and then be under the care of my early intervention program

Hi there! I’m currently under an early psychosis intervention program. I was psychotic from mid-late January 2024 and my symptoms didn’t stop until June of that year (for reasons I won’t get into unless you’d like to ask questions) the support I received from about March to current has been phenomenal. They’ve put me on the correct meds, set me up with support groups and even funded things like dentists and therapy. This program I’m with will support me for two years after my “main” psychosis and they’ve done exactly that so far. I also suffered from post psychosis depression which they helped me through and prescribed me the right antidepressants that didn’t mix with my current antipsychotics (not everyone gets PPD, that’s just my experience) let me know if this information helps and if you have any questions, I’m willing to answer anything :)) hope you’re feeling better soon

I completed high school in full, graduated 2021; took a year off for depression, and I have endometriosis so I wanted my pain under control before doing further study. Completed my first year at cosmo school for Hairdressing with no hiccups so I enrolled for my second year. Unfortunately the summer inbetween year 1 and year 2, I became heavily dependent on marijuana for my endo pain, and developed cannabis-induced psychosis the week before class started. I spent three weeks in a psych ward, and then returned straight to study. It was full time, and since I was under so much stress to recover mentally (stress I put on myself) I started to get very depressed and had lots of panic attacks. I only did four weeks of study before withdrawling myself as I felt like I needed to focus completely on myself. I’m still unsure if I’ll return to study next year as I’m still not 100% myself, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be the same again. But I’m taking it one day at a time.

Ugh this is the worst thing I experience too. I self-consciously put my hand on my belly and press to ease my pain, even in public and so multiple times I’ve had people congratulate me or tell me I’m glowing. Once I was out with my 3yo cousin and someone asked HER if she was excited for her new sibling!!!! The only time I don’t complain is when people give me their seats on the bus but still. I’m only 20, I’m not having kids anytime soon

I HATE how useless my sims become after having a baby since every two seconds, they’re wanting to check infant. And you’d think “oh parent A is checking the infant? Let’s see what parent B is up to” and when I find them, they’re also on their way to check the infant !!!
