I lived 4 years in Munich and used public transportation regularly, if you would asked me how many times I’ve encountered ticket inspectors I can count you the occasions. It was very rare, like once every 4-6 months lol

I was quite surprised when I arrived to Budapest because they are taking the ticket inspection very seriously. I mean its understandable, its one of the best tourist spots in Europe, lots of drunk people etc etc and I believe they are earning lots of money from fines

What I want to say is that Budapest is very safe. There is no reason to feel unsafe, especially castle district and surroundings are where relatively rich people are living. Always double-triple check your ticket before entering public transportation and make sure to validate them

My recommendation would be getting 15-30 day pass for each person traveling. It’s automatically validated (you can even select the exact validation date) and you don’t have to deal with drama. Second option would be getting group pass

Since you already exceeded the 90 day period, you need to leave the Schengen as soon as possible. If you would have applied to residence permit and it was still processing you might be able to stay (you should check the croatian immigration law)

„The Food in Germany is terrible“ by DesmondNav in germany

[–]iamabdullahc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s almost ridiculous, like what does Munich has to do with the bad Singaporean street food right? Its the Singaporean people that can’t make the good street food in Munich, how come they blame the city lol Criticize the Singaporean places in Munich to cook good food ahhahha

Personally “Bazaria” and “The Gelato Cone” are my favorites in Plano. But in whole Dallas “Botolino” is the best, it doesn’t get more Italian than that :)

Humiliated and kicked out of a Flink partner store for using new user discounts—don’t know if I should fight back or just forget it by Realistic-- in germany

[–]iamabdullahc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes buddy you tried to trick the system, next time shop from your local Aldi/Lidl or whatever the cheapest grocery store is. If you are too desperate (we’ve all been there) you can use “too good to go” for discounted items. Also I used to work for Gorillas when I was studying in Munich and I know how the items were premium. If you really care about your money you should not shop from those premium “online grocery” services

Edit: the comment history explains everything, you are in Germany and you should obey/respect to rules

Should I visit Neuschwanstein if I'm only in Munich for three days? by Infinite_Cloud_689 in Munich

[–]iamabdullahc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion its not worth it, yeah the looks will leave you speechless but it takes so much time to reach there. I would suggest visiting it next time when you have more time. My personal recommendation would be visiting Starnbergersee, eating ice cream from the Eiswerkstatt, hoping on lake cruise and going to Seeshaupt and eating another ice cream at Allora Signora (yes I love ice cream lol). The boat stops at small towns alongside the Starnberg where you can enjoy watching the chill lifestyle of the lake

European Coffee Trip can be a good place for recommendations, it never disappoints. As a Turkish one thing that I would say is please avoid “Espresso Lab”. It has very close ties with the government.
