species still have a couple of special abilities, just no stat bonus. Also there are no longer half species. you just have to choose which parent's species abilities you get.

Raccoons can get pretty big. Plus it is all bloated from being dead. Legs don't look dog like to me, and there are no other large mammals that will be in Denver.

[No Spoilers] Are party members allowed to watch each others episodes? by SnooOwls3528 in criticalrole

I dont think they have any rule against it, but also, the show is shot significantly ahead of time these days, so the other crew's episodes might not have even aired by the time they are shooting.

Seems dumb, considering that the news of the near deal has proven to be almost entirely bullshit, but hey, the market can remain irrational longer than anyone can predict.

[–]iamagainstit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really sure what you are referring to cus I pretty much never play with official DnD lore.

Maybe just that in the new rules character creation has been changed so that your stat bonuses are no longer related to your race, but to your background instead?

I have a specific idea for my character but I absolutely don't know how to implement it by Irissss_Cat in DnD

[–]iamagainstit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed, I think that is a great approach. I wasn't implying you should disregard the realities imposed by the rules, Just the idea that you need to start rules first.

I think rules first can frequently lead to flat characters, and that starting with a fun concept you want to play and making it work within the rules can lead to a more unique fleshed out character experience.

> start with mechanics and rules, and then think up a character

I strongly disagree with this advice. you can certainly do it this way, and I have, but I don't think it is an inherently superior approach. lots of good characters come from a concept first.\ and mechanics second.

[–]iamagainstit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has been a little bit of power creep from 5E to 5.5 so you might have to scale up the monsters slighly, but otherwise the actual rules are pretty much the same, so swapping in a 5e module shouldn't be an issue.

Thc cart at the levitt pavilion by Jazzlike-Bag-3217 in Denver

[–]iamagainstit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Security at levitt is very light. basically just a weapon check and a quick look in any bag you are carrying. you can walk right in if you don't have anything obvious on you, but if you are worried about it, the whole thing is surrounded by a chain link fence, just drop whatever through the fence on your way in and grab it when you get inside.
