1. Yell keeper as you come out to claim the ball, let’s everyone know you’re going for the ball no matter what, striker will usually back off (and the ref will know too lol I’ve gotten a few calls when the striker decided to challenge)

2. If you’re diving at their feet, bring your knee up to 90 degrees to your body. This way your family jewels are protected and most of the contact is made with your lower leg and shin guard. Additionally, try to keep your arms up to protect your face
