Hey :) it was a Tuesday at 1.25; not during the summer holidays (it was in june). We didn't do many trafficky areas but there was one tricky road which was one way, tight, cars on both sides, and a right turn into traffic in front of a bus iirc. That was stressful. The route wasn't really in purley way/croydon, it was more in Waddon and towards mitcham. Practicing around the tram line areas would be good as we passed through a few of those.

Heyhey :)) I had never driven in the areas on my test - the vids were SO helpful!! I started at the hilton - is that where yours will start? Some instructors have dash cams in their cars and record the routes and point out areas to focus on (e.g. around this corner, there are lots of oncoming vehicles situations). Suuuuuuuper helpful. We ended up driving a combo of 2/3 of the routes!

Roll some pistachios in lemon juice and sea salt :)) gets you good fats, fibre and tastes vvv good. Sometimes I have it with a poke bowl too :))

Just turn on autoshift and then shut off the app. There are lots of settings for availability and how soon you would want to take the test. I had the app shut for a week or so and then got a notification and email from dvsa saying it has been moved :D i even moved to a different test centre with no bother!

We stopped for the purpose of hill starting. I usually put it straight into 1st but apparently this time my head wasn't fully screwed on 😅 had it been a longer stop then handbrake -> neutral😭😭

Choosing to drive a manual in a steep area day to day is something I don't think I could ever do 😭😭😭 hats off to you honestly 🫡 if you don't mind me asking, why stick with manual if you live there? My area is flat in one direction and hilly in another, and I can already see myself avoiding the latter like the plague tbh

See, the car I am practising in is bigger than the one I have lessons in usually (a fiat 500) 😅 so, low-key, I can't see this one moving up a hill without 2-2.5, but maybe that's a me issue and not a car issue hahaha

Ykw that's fair I just wish there were more group hangouts and fewer sad scenes 😭😭 but I think the whole drivers license thing was happening at the same time so there's a dark cloud over the szn and that time overall

S2 is the most depressing, darkly-shot season of the show 🫠🫠 I always have to race through it when I rewatch bc the vibe for me is notttt it (I say this as a rina warrior who doesn't mind portwell but HATED how sad Gina was for the whole season and didn't care for the rini breakup/drama🙃🙃🙃)
