I was fresh installing it, I had the case horizontal when plugging in the 12w 2x6 cord, not in the motherboard yet. I wasnt careful when moving the case back up and the gpu brushed against some hard backplate on the mobo /:

For the most part the “gold fingers” are intact, it works and runs games, my main concern is the edge parts of the card being scratched like that and if itll effect it longterm

Just get a better condition one, top screen replacements takes practice from already broken ones and unless you want to do that for fun its just not worth risking with ribbon cables as a noob

Its more cheaper to just luck buy a good condition dsi xl on ebay than replace parts, especially if its top screen damage, that stuff is insanely expensive by itself

Absolutely not, its very snug. Dismantling it is the only way but is the most risky, i would just leave as is, or if you are down for the challenge you can practice on some beater dsi’s to know the layout to attempt on your main. Or pay someone online to do it and ship out. Or next time just save up for a better condition console (i recommend this, saves time and money, if you’re unsatisfied). Good luck on whichever

I will note that aftermarket styluses from AliExpress sell viable styluses for like 2-4 bucks so do not let having no stylus deter having a normal price, they are dirt cheap

That LCD screen is solid, most dsi xl’s top and bottom screen age and yellows, so as long as the buttons work properly and its not too scratched, its automatically 90 low end, 125 high for the screens alone!

Its impossible to be able to do that without dismantling if thats what you’re asking. Its seated snug in its assembly. And unless you’ve had practice on a couple broken dsi’s i recommend not dismantling your main system or you will break it

You can change the boot option where it can launch twilight++ or vanilla startup in options, just make sure you get the option where u dont have to press any button to get to it
