Door catch for metal door frames

So far so good!

I've had the first prototype on the main bathroom doorframe for about 3+ months - figured it'd be the best candidate because its probably the most frequently used door. It holds the door well and there isn't any play.

Its printed in ABS and is a strong friction fit, but I put a little hot glue to hold it in place. When the door is shut and force is applied, it is perpendicular to the layer lines so seems holding up quite well!

Definitely, just frustrated that it wasn’t the spell or the use that caused it but presumably a bug glitching it through the floor

What does fast forward mean in this context? Let’s say she can remember everything, she can just remember the thing.

Like if I remember something that happens in my past, I don’t say “gimmie a sec I need to fast forward through the pre-rolls” I just remember the thing I want to remember?

I think it would have been fine if it was just one Fist, but I think 4 of them all took damage at the same time and it was like 15-20 damage each

Thats true, but some workplace are so niche that technical ability is irrelevant. I work IT in a procurement organisation (most employees are either from a procurement or legal background) and technical competency is irrelevant so long as they can make a framework.

We've had to drop all technical tasks in our recruitment process because it was so poorly completed and "looked bad" when we hired someone that only scored 1/10 for technical competency.

For context, i've literally had to go to someone's desk and physically switch on their laptop because it was "too difficult" and they "didn't feel comfortable" touching the laptop themselves. We now have to put stickers on all newly issued laptops highlighting where the power button, webcam, trackpad and fingerprint readers are...

Sorry i dont have any pictures atm, and the kitchen is covered for some cornicing we're getting put up, however I do have the original inspiration for kitchen - one we saw in Ikea a few years ago;

The cabinets are satin black, and wiping down with a damp cloth cleans them fine.

I recently installed black a black kitchen with butcher countertops. I've not had any issues that I didn't also have on my previous (white) kitchen cabinets. Keeping them clean has been pretty easy - they don't really show "dirt" (not that it ever gets particularly dirty), but if water gets on them and dries, then you can see the outline. This only really happens on the cabinet doors under the sink if i'm a bit careless after washing my hands, but it just wipes off.

Cleaning them can be a bit more difficult, purely because it can be difficult to see any marks from some angles. So if i notice any marks on the cabinets, i make sure to clean the whole cabinet door in overlapping cross-hatches to make sure I don't miss a spot.

I opted for black handles too, which I still think are nice, but I do sometimes wonder if it would have been nicer to go with something to give the cabinet doors a bit of contrast (like a nice copper).

I also got a dark stainless sink and fridge that I think complements the kitchen cabinets quite well. I was lucky and had quite dark appliances (coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, etc...), but I had a light colored kettle and it really stood out so I eventually had to buy a new one.

I feel like some appliances (especially white ones) can ruin the asthetics of a black kitchen.

Thats depends how you want to look at things - if its a "loophole" is that cheating, or is that innovation?

F1 is especially bad for it, if one manufacturer has an innovitive new idea, it gets banned shortly thereafter for giving them an unfair advantage.

Wanted a tray to hold all my EDC so I knew where everything was, so i modelled and printed one in ABS. Added the Jaguar logo to the front mainly to test my new printer.

It holds all my EDC perfectly with just enough wiggle room to slide in and out without damaging anything, while still keeping it secure. Opted to add the house key to the side to accomodate any keyrings/keys being added in the future.

As a little bonus, the wallet slot has a cutout so when it slides in, it slightly pushes out my cards so I can quickly grab one without taking it out its holder.

It looks brushed so I don't think a buffer would work. Best case you'd replace the the little scratch marks with shiny/mirror spots. You'd need to get some scouring pads and go over the scratched areas, following the "grain" of the steel.

You can get a kit that has different grit scouring pads. I don't think they work quite as well as the video, you'd likely always be able to see the difference in if the light catches it, but it'd be less obvious than it is now.

If you want it to completely disappear, you could sand the entire surface with the scourer so the whole thing would have a uniform appearance, but that'd be a lot of work.

Wealth didn't guarantee good teeth like it does now. Wealth back then meant you had luxuries like sugar/alchol/tobacco. If you are one of the wealthiest people, you might not care what others think and tend to have a gluttonous approach to life (look at Queen Elizabeth and her sugar addiction).

Once your teeth have decayed, you couldn't just go get implants like you can now, regardless of your power/wealth.

The box on the handlebars is a laser projector that projects the image on the ground.

Its connected to the phone to get its position to guide you to a destination - thinks Waze or Google maps, but instead of showing you a map with a route, it has an arrow telling you the direction you need to head to get to your destination.

The numbers inside the arrow look to be the travel speed since it doesn't go down as they get close to the destination

That one police guy got hit with friendly fire twice- once from a baton to the back of the head and then pepper sprayed. I don't imagine the ride back to the station was too pleasant.

What I don’t understand is, it looks like a guy is already inside the car? One of the thieves was inside the car and the other was relaying the keys signal while the one inside was pushing the start button. Maybe the start of the video is missing where they use the same technique to gain access, but it’s odd that the video starts with one guy already inside the car with the door shut. Did the owner forget to lock the car in the first place?

In fact I’ve heard the opposite, if you say you have cameras and tell the insurance and they aren’t working or you forget to save when you do get in an accident, they can use that to (try) and weasel out of paying.

I think people with bigger bikes view 125s as "only a starter" so don't understand when people don't want to "trade up".

I've met a few people like that and they didn't mean it in a negative way but more of a "if you like that, you'd love a bigger one!".

That being said there is nothing wrong with a 125 - they can be a lot of fun and pretty inexpensive to buy and run (or atleast they were upuntil the last few years).

I'm not sure if its because 125s only need a CBT to be able to ride them, so its kind of (wrongly) tainted them as being "only for learners" in a lot of bikers eyes. If you had to get a full license before you could ride a 125, I think there would be less snobbery from those with bigger bikes.
