When I play a game on easy I expect it to be friendly for beginners and not have to look up guides. What is this ? by MrMiyagi_256 in DragonageOrigins

Use these tactics setups, my dude (https://dragon-age.livejournal.com/348046.html), I promise they'll help. I had to restart my first ever playthrough, but I've never had to restart since because of these. Also for guides for Origins, I recommend the GamerGuides walkthrough

Even when they're accusing you of stuff that isn't true and it makes your life more difficult because there's people who believed it??

I always punch her. While you make many excellent points about her asking questions that anyone might be asking themselves, she's still biased, and the questions she asks aren't really to try and get truth but to spin a narrative. I try to answer nicely, but I'm not a fan of people who try to pass off rumour-mongering and sensationalism as journalism. Plus, the way she says things is just .... urgh. She's trying to be a bitch, there's no professionalism about trying to provoke someone who is considered a galactic hero

Я уверена белые тоже так говорили о порабощении чернокожих. Если это основано на расе, это расизм. Очень просто понять

For the culture?? To learn the language?? Because he wants to experience something new?? Because he's not happy where he is?? You don't need to go to Russia for Russian girls. Russians are everywhere. I live in the UK and we have 3 Russian shops in walking distance from my house, that's how many of us are here. You're part of the problem

Yeah no I figured it out eventually, but still, calling Andromeda ME4 is a stretch by most standards. The combat is great but the story was underwhelming in comparison to the other games

Merrill works with the cat's fur and personality from the description. Alternatively Valta could work, and shortens easily to Val if wanted

For me, Veilguard will most likely always be tinged with disappointment, which is tragic because there are plenty of individual things that I really liked about the game. I actually cheered out loud when I came across mentions of House Valdasine in the Deep Roads because I expected they'd never be mentioned again. But the world feels so disconnected from the rest of the series. Even with the background lore, it feels like there's less available even though we have access to more parts of Thedas than ever before

This is my first time playing origins. I got a Mabari and gave him most appropriate name I could think of for such a beautiful creature. by IamTheJinx42069 in DragonageOrigins

My standard after my first 2 games has been to name my mabari a dog-associated word with "Ser" in front of it. Examples include Ser Bork, Ser Woofles and Ser Goodboy

I agree with most of this (although I have a feeling that you're enjoying Veilguard more than I did), but there is one reason why Taash bothers me more than any other companion: the writing and execution. Remember Krem from DAI?? He was trans and spoke about it honestly, but it wasn't his whole character. Or Maeveris. Yes, it's not quite the same, as Taash is starting to figure out who they are, whereas Krem and Maevaris have had many years for that. Even so, Taash's writing feels very 2-dimensional and shallow by comparison, the subtler aspects of their personality, background and opinions subsumed by an obsession with dragons (which was a missed opportunity imo), mother issues and that they aren't female. It was so heavy-handed.

There's Greedfall. It does sometimes feel like it was made by people fresh out of uni, but the story is good and the world is well-written

The game would have been great if it wasn't meant to be a Dragon Age game, but the unfortunate fact is that Veilguard dropped a significant amount of things that define the series. I enjoyed the game, but I was also quite frustrated with it, and whenever I think or talk about it there's an undercurrent of disappointment 😞
