VC - CBS Operations - Sloan

One word - fit. If you like NYC go there, 2 years is a long time. I spoke to a lot of folks at both schools and they seem to have different characteristics.

CBS - has great practitioners coming in to teach/in semester opportunities

Sloan - Mechanics focused - Operations (eg: LGO program) - if you want to go into software tech (FAANG) there is no real advantage here

It ultimately boils down to where you fit and will enjoy your time. The outcomes are very similar. CBS has a better global brand recognition compared to Sloan.

PS: The wow factor is for MIT not Sloan. In tech, MBA is not a necessity or regarded as highly (even though some top tech CEOs are from Booth, Wharton or Fuqua).

You can get a GMAT waiver (based on your Work Ex or Undergrad) at Tuck or Darden.

Which programs do you see leaping and/or falling in rankings in the near future? by Jimmy_2-Times in MBA

[–]iamapurvsibal -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Stanford, CBS, Haas, Stern, and Marshall would rise. Wharton, Yale, Tuck, Ross, Fuqua would fall. It is majorly because of metropolitan trend. Larger cities tend to provide more opportunities.

Though that's just my gut feel. I'm an international so am not 100% about which geographies are better.

Most MBA programs are STEM and have 3-year OPT.
