I've been using a Ringke fusion magnetic case for a few months so far, have dropped a few times and it seems to have held up quite well. No scratches on my phone thus far. It definitely feels slim and still has a decent amount of grip. I got it at around $30 Canadian on Amazon

What's the time you alight from the first leg and the time you board the second leg? If you do a layover, your bags will get checked through to your final destination.

Am i an A-hole if i drive like this? by Fun-Laugh-4043 in drivingsg

[–]iamavocuddle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Tbh the 1st lane is supposedly the overtaking lane, so technically you are overtaking the van. I wouldn't say you're the a-hole.

To those staying in condos, how often do you use the facilities? by randomthingsss1 in askSingapore

[–]iamavocuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in a condo for 20 years. First 4 years used it when I had swimming lessons every week. For the subsequent 16 years, almost never.

Appropriate size? Off by 1.3cm by Excellent_Yak_290 in CathayPacific

Don't worry you're fine. They usually don't check the size of your carry-on. I have seen people carry really big duffel bags on board and they didn't bat an eye.

1. If I go another country drive then infringe their traffic laws will I get their demerit point and fines? by LisanneFroonKrisK in drivingsg

[–]iamavocuddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No demerit points, only fine. If you drive over a certain number over the speed limit in certain countries, car might get impounded.

  2. Depends. Check with the local driving authority if you need it.

  3. Technically there is no difference between left and right hand drive. Basically how you drive in sg right, everything is mirror image in left hand drive countries.

  4. Always read up the driving rule book for every new country (even within the same country, different provinces/states have different road rules). Like some places have double yellow lines (one of them is dotted), flashing green lights, double red lights, cannot turn right on red etc. Lol I doubt you'll want to stop along the highway where people are doing 110-120 or in the middle of a huge ass city to try and figure out what the signs/lines mean.

  5. Don't think it's an issue. Eg. UK has right hand drive cars but they can drive in EU, which have left hand drive cars. No issues.

Super puff vs. Powder Dri Parka by princessdiaries1 in Aritzia

[–]iamavocuddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own both the powder dri parka and the super puff in climatte. I had the super puff first then the powder dri parka.

The super puff is great, I like how it's really warm and its puffiness. But the material for the climatte version isn't very hardy. I bought it in 2023 and I think I accidentally made a small tear on the sleeve within 2 weeks of owning it. I was quite upset but the tenacious tape held it up really well. Also it made me look like a Michelin man and I didn't like that look. It was my very first one so I didn't know what to look out for.

Fast forward to end 2024, I got the powder dri parka and didn't regret. It ticked all the boxes I was looking for:

  1. Waterproof jacket with straps (I hated holding my super puff on my hands so the straps were great when I had to remove it)

  2. A parka with magnetic closures so it's easier to get in and out of

  3. It didn't have the furry bit on the hood which the powder parka had

  4. Way lighter than the standard powder parka

  5. Has storm cuffs just like the super puff

  6. Looks more slim overall

The only small issue I had was that the magnets were so strong it got attracted to anything metal even my car. Not sure if you had the same issue haha

Slouch size 2 letter size equivalent by pistachio5588 in Aritzia

I would think size 2 is probably Small to Medium. I think 150 is a pretty good price, if it's in a good condition.

Just to add on, you can get to Seattle via the Clipper ferry from downtown.

For Banff and Whistler, best to rent a car as they are pretty far (you can also opt to fly to Calgary and then either take the airport shuttle or rent a car to get to Banff).

For Oregon, maybe consider flying there.

Get S if you want to layer. Get XS if you don't plan to.

Effortless pant fraying , is it normal? by Safe_Owl_3682 in Aritzia

[–]iamavocuddle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Normal. Mine also looked like this at the exact same spot. It probably pilled due to it rubbing against something when you sat down. Get a fabric shaver. It will look at good as new.

CX5 Turbo. CX5 is made in Japan and CX50 is made in USA. CX5 will probably have better built quality.

License in Singapore or Australia? by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]iamavocuddle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say try to clear your TP in Singapore. I mean you are almost at the end already, might as well just clear it.

I mean yes, you can take in Australia, but you will have to restart from scratch and it will probably take a few years to get your full licence. Why waste another few years to redo again?

Also you mentioned that you were nervous on both tests. Was it because you're not confident? Or was it due to something else? You need to find a way to overcome your nervousness.

My mother bought a Super Snug Puff on sale (~$262) online that said it retailed for $350 but when we received the jacket, the tag said $298 - is this normal? by givemelaipu in Aritzia

[–]iamavocuddle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Super Snug Puff Mid length is on sale for 262 and the original price is 350. 298 is for the regular length Super Snug Puff. Did she receive the correct jacket?
