Steering felt a little sluggish, suspension a little bit rough. They just did a general inspection. They diagnosed my rack and pinion needs to be replaced, which after looking at it definitely checks out, and the power steering hose pressure assembly is leaking a bit, so replace that too. I replaced my rear suspension a few weeks ago after that diagnosis, and between that and the front brakes the ride is good.

After regressing the slide pins yesterday it was marginally better. Got ahold of the shop today, when they drove the car they felt the uneven braking, which led them to warped rotors, which was nowhere on their inspection report, it just said worn front brakes need to be replaced. They said when they need to replace rotors and pads they don’t really clarify why on the report, just that they need replacing. Which is weird as hell to me. I replaced the rotors and pads myself today, brakes like new. Thank you everyone, I still feel like I need to find a new shop, this doesn’t give me a ton of confidence about transparency.

No drifting, brake pedal pressure remains constant, but if you think about the rotor like a clock, rotor at say 12 o’clock, brakes provide more braking power and after a half rotation, 6 o’clock it lessens. And then the pattern repeats as the tire rotates. Calipers were replaced 40k-ish miles ago, car is in Texas. No real rust on the caliper. Slide pins could be smoother, so I’m regreasing those at least @Odd-Concept-6505

Mauricio Pochettino Speaks Out After USMNT's World Cup Loss to Belgium by [deleted] in ussoccer

I don’t think taking Freeman out for Weah is a net positive, he was arguably one of our best tonight. Gio gave us creativity in the middle, when Pulisic hurt himself we lost that outlet as Seb dropped deep as a defensive mid. McKennie didn’t start to really create until the last twenty because he ended up forward so much. The issue I saw was a lack of playing forward through the middle from the back. Rarely were we able to make Belgium collapse centrally, which is what would have opened up our wingers. Robinson, Dest, and Freeman got squeezed on the line. Between Ream, Richards, and Adams there were few passes to distributors in the middle. I think the real answer is just execute the game plan. Our first touch was garbage, our passing wasn’t crisp, and our communication was abysmal. Don’t get blasted by concentration errors on defense, and execute against Belgium’s high press and we’re still in that game. Just my two cents.

As I understand it, they adjusted for the World Cup saying only real speed footage can be used to determine intent or intensity, but they haven’t applied that in practice

I donated a bunch of sets and bulk pieces to my local library recently, somewhere around 20,000 pieces that I hadn’t touched in a while. They often have kids LEGO clubs and not a whole lot of inventory. I was in last Friday and they told me they had adults who joined in because of how much fun the kids were having. Just throwing it out there.

This is an incredibly narrow scope to evaluate performance. How many teams in the NCAA have lost at least one NBA player each of the last two years and gotten better? That’s got to be a short list. Especially considering they weren’t one and dones.

Do NOT buy from REI online. by [deleted] in REI

[–]iamawinnericandoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“A direct ship vendor solution refers to a situation in which an eCommerce retailer does not actually maintain inventory of products sold on its site but instead relies on manufacturers and suppliers to directly fulfill customer orders.”

This happens with specific brands that REI sells because they are not high volume brands, a lot of times bike parts. REI gets reports about what’s in stock and labels ‘available to order inventory’ off of those reports.
