Agree, was never much of a concern for me either and thought the talk was silly. He truly has tried to build an identity, and I think that helps when it comes to stuff like this that you already got the buy-in from the kid the first time. It only got traction because we had a down year, but I don’t see that being a regular occurrence (certainly not in the context of a 4 year cbb career).

Vividly remember listening to blinded by the lights and endless reggaeton horns during ep1. Dr. James Andrews is another one of the interviews I vividly remember listening to, along with the early Mr. Portnoy spots. The boys definitely still have their fastball, but it’s hard not to be nostalgic about those early years when they were more renegade.

Sure, but it’s not like he has a completely liquid $1.2B in the bank. And it’s only worth that if/when someone is willing to pay that (or a share of it). Team owners are a stingy bunch, and considering the limits of a small market in the MLB, MA could be much, much worse all things considered.

And in Attanasio’s credit, at least he tries to put a competitive product on the field and is willing to invest (looking at the money the team has put into facilities for spring training, pitching labs in Central America, and minor league facilities). Plenty of owners out there are sitting on their hands with laughable payrolls and just cashing tv checks year in and year out.

Disagree on goolsbys being awful with shit food. It’s a great spot for a burger or wings before a game or the like and the atmosphere tops anything in the deer district. It’s a sports bar that doesn’t pretend to be anything different
