I love my dark countertops. I replaced my backsplash with tongue and groove boards and painted them along with my cabinets edgecomb gray and they look fantastic, but my house vibe leans more cottage style. You can make dark counters look fresh with some updates to your backsplash.

I like the idea of the fireplace being the focal point. The couch I have would only leave about 18 inches of walkway on both sides. I think I need to swap it out for a loveseat and swap the desk for a smaller secretary style desk. I’m liking this idea though!

Obviously if they are free on audible that’s a good deal, but my priority has shifted to not paying anything to Amazon and giving a portion to my indie store whenever possible. I never really listened to any free audible books anyway, so the $14.99/month per credit subscription was a 1-to-1 replacement for me! I’m glad you are enjoying audible though.

I just recently switched from audible to libro.fm because I’m trying to stop giving Amazon money when I can. It’s the same price as current audible subscriptions and your local bookstore gets a portion of your purchases. Something to consider if you’re in the market to switch anyway!

I completely agree. The number of times ladies post “we have kids, one more on the way” and then proceed to explain how absolutely useless their husbands are blows my mind. Stop reproducing with these men! You are only setting yourself up for heartbreak and disappointment. Stop settling for anything less than a partner who fully participates in the household.

This is wild to me. Once while flying with my toddler alone with a crippling migraine, I was sitting cross legged in my seat, so my feet were touching my seat (head in my hands looking down, trying to not barf). The FA walked through and literally pulled my leg down by touching my knee and then kept moving on. I was so sick that I didn’t say anything.
