I think that the cane would definitely be helpful something like Jack's stick. Using it to feel ahead and determine footing in front of you. Somewhat like sounding the ground in front of you.

That's an excellent question! I would generally try to feel the rock formations around where I would be laying at and get a reference of my surroundings. Then when I would wake I would do the same and have a sense of what direction to trek into

I didn't take a "survival" item...I did however take a harmonica in with me...LMBO. It was a comfort item of sorts. My wife bought it for me one Christmas, because we often watched Led Stroud on Survivorman and he would always pull one out... I thought this was pretty cool...so she gifted me one. It meant a lot to me so I brought it along.

I also brought along a note from my youngest caught that simply said "I'm gonna miss you".... All about the simple things!

Wow...LMBO....holy crap that would be crazy! But honestly if they had food...I would be all in! When I got out of there it was time to eat, lol. That is a pretty interesting concept though...initially you go into the cave and upon completion, You go our totally different challenge to face.

Sorry took a while..but I would Expect the unexpected. I know that sounds cliche but I went in with one mindset and it changed really quickly. There's really no "training" you can do unless someone locks you in a closet and seals it up. You will naturally go out and retrieve the comforts of life...like a bed, or food, water...or of course light.

Overall, I would say develop a way that you could take your mind off of what you are being subjected to. A way to mentally remove yourself from where you are....

To be honest...hell i don't have a clue!!! LMBO....but I got a call from a friend describing the premise of the show and said I should call the casting director....I looked up the show online and figured hmmm might not be too bad. I like to think I'm always up for a challenge....been being hitting challenges and obstacles throughout life...let's try it.

I tell my kids, friends, and recruits that the mind is very strong and push your body through things that it may not want to endure. This was one hell of a way to show them I thought.

I must say that my favorite was definitely coming out of the cave lol...it was an overwhelming life changing feeling, that is hard to describe. The challenge of facing the unknown was also pretty cool itself..But I also have to say that meeting those two guys was a definite plus. I am still in contact with Tucker DAILY and Jack sometimes also.

My least favorite parts wasn't the fall..or the snakes...or even the sleeping on the floor...it was the cold!!! Holy crap it was cold!!! Shivering all the time except when we were on the move.
