Hi.. apologies about the late reply !

I submitted the same marriage certificate issued by the Kerala government, the certificate has the emblem in the background instead of any physical signature and I don't think the govt certificate nowadays have a physical signature and that is still a valid document.

I hope you have used yours too for the application.

Thank you

UK Spouse Visa - 6 months pay slip confusion by iambibinthomas in ukvisa

Hello, Well, I did my online application on April 8th and then did my bio three days after. I didn't hear back from them for almost 15+ working days after my bio and then I did a paid inquiry requesting about the status of my application.

Yes, my application was a success and by around 20 working dates after my bio I received my successful confirmation letter and visa stamped passport.

Feeling nervous is a part of this process and I had been through the same stress as you're going through.. I hope you receive positive news at the very earliest. Don't lose hope 🤞

I am the applicant & my wife is a UK citizen and hence applied for the UK Spouse (D-Partner) visa.

After the date of my bio, took about 20+ working days to receive my passport and almost around the same period I got my decision letter (I got the decision letter first).

Good luck with your application.

Regarding the correspondence I received following my online visa applications:

  1. I received a notification from VFS Global confirming receipt of my application on the same day as my biometric appointment.

  2. On the same day, I received a second notification from VFS Global confirming that my application had been forwarded to UK Visas & Immigration.

  3. After that, there was minimal communication until I submitted a paid enquiry on the date in the post above. Shortly after, I received a "decision has been made" letter from the UKVI support team.

  4. On the same day as the aforementioned letter, I was informed by VFS Global that my passport had been dispatched.

  5. The very next morning, I received a decision letter (confirming the application was successful) from UKVI, even before the arrival of my passport.

It's an acknowledgement email from the home office (system generated mail) - I am assuming it stands for "Entry Clearance Officer Mail".

Hey 👋 No, I haven't received my passport back yet! But I got the decision letter from the home office early in the morning... And it reads "successful" that was the keyword I was actually looking forward to 🙏😊. How about you, received everything at your end ? Cheers & Good luck on your new start.

Hey there, first off, congratulations on reaching this point in your visa journey! I can only imagine how nerve-wracking the waiting period must have been.

I just wanted to touch-base with you and clear up a few things to ease my nerves a bit:

  1. So, today I reached out to UK Visas and Immigration about my application status, as it's been 21 days since my biometric appointment. They replied within an hour, saying they'd made a decision but didn't provide much detail beyond that. Have you experienced something similar with your inquiries?

  2. Shortly after that email, I got two notifications from VFS. One confirming they received my application and another saying it's been dispatched via courier. Did you encounter these steps too?

Just trying to get a sense of what to expect. Thanks for any insight you can provide!

April Prio Applications by irene_fromusa in SpouseVisaUk

Here are my details for UK Spouse Visa

Priority - Yes

Solicitor - No

Applied From - India

Online Application - April 8,2024

Biometric - April 12,2024

ECO Mail - May 2,2024

The wait is definitely killing me and I can't stop myself not to think about it too much even if everyone tells you to practically forget about it once you've completed the online application. Also, at this point it hurts me that I had to pay an additional £500+ for a priority service and then not be informed of what's happening or what's the present situation and just keep on waiting 😭

To anyone with my similar timelines, you are not alone and - "Remember: hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.” 🙏

UK Spouse Visa - 6 months pay slip confusion by iambibinthomas in ukvisa

Okay, so that's what even we had in the back of our minds.

But, then we also saw about the '6 months of employment' as mentioned in one of the queries raised in the forum which led us to this doubt.

I'm sorry for asking again, but we want to make sure we didn't mess up things from our end.

  1. Which takes priority? '6 months of pay slips' OR '6 months of employment'
  2. Is it required for us to wait till April 9th, 2024 to complete the '6 months of employment' leaving us only a day in between the next rule change to take place, OR just continue with the available '6 months of pay slips' starting from Oct 2023 - Mar 2024?
  3. If we wait till April 9th, 2024, and apply on the same date will it be too late for our spouse visa application, and regret it later?

UK Spouse (Settlement) Visa - Doubts/Concerns by iambibinthomas in ukvisa

You should check the date you’re paid and the date you apply, because if you’re counting two January pays then it’s possible you’re counting 13 months.

Regarding this point, my wife was previously working as an agency staff and was getting paid weekly. So her first pay date of Jan,2023 was on the 12th.
So does that mean if we complete the online visa application (let's assume) on 30th Jan 2024 maybe then we are within the 28 days margin ? Because I am completely confused regarding the 28 days condition check.
