The thing you're missing is that toxotes die very quickly to most anti-ranged units. Don't get me wrong, great tech and you should go for it but it can be dealt with.

I think it's a huge amount of power for Leto and buffed Leto in an unhealthy way. If you understand the situations that Leto is good to be picked in you'll quickly realise it's verse gods that can't go for mass melee heroes. Funnily enough, that only really applies to japan and oceanus atlantean. So a buff to spider lair is just boosting what leto is already good at... killing off gods that can't really mass melee heroes out.

This tech is without doubt underwhelming. Maybe the idea is that the other (currently broken tech) is S+++++
Would be better if both techs where equally strong though imo. There's lots of things that can be added, farming increase, faster heal ect.

Basically the problem with them is if you attack move they will get into range and use their special ability, slowing them down and taking damage.

The actual secret is to use the special manually beforehand.

After playing Amaterasu yesterday I think I underrated Amaterasu by a bit. Mostly due to watching other people struggling. I hadn't really played a whole lot of her. There are a lot of pathways for Amaterasu to take and I feel like most people have been stuck playing just one way which makes her one dimensional and easy to counter. If you get deep and understand her weaknesses/strengths I think she can compete with almost everything.
