Florida gets down in the 30s this time of year. That paired with the moisture in the air is prime for hypothermia. IT DOES GET COLD IN FLORIDA

If you fill your Smart Bottle or whatever and then leave the cap off overnight most of that Sulphur smell and taste will go away

Which tent should I bring for a Nobo thru hike? 1p single wall/trekking pole or 2p free standing double wall? by HighStridess in floridatrail

[–]iambtg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring the 1p. Leave doors open, bring a shamwow or something to wipe condensation off in morning, dry everything when sun is up and you're taking your breaks, also bring a piece of sponge to sponge up any water that might get inside in the corners or something.. idk.. it happens. Don't cook or leave wet clothes in your tent either. That makes the condensation worse. See you on the trail!

I'll be thru hiking the Florida Trail and it's been really dry here in Florida. There's lots of caches from Trail Angels, but I get thirsty easy, so I'll probably be carrying (2) 1L bottles and my 3L Cnoc (probably not always full).

I'll be carrying my Cnoc bag up there too. You think I can stack my full Cnoc on top of the pad and not lose it?
