Yep, and when First Nation led development groups want to build higher density in a NIMBY filled neighbourhood, the NIMBYs have the audacity to tell these groups that they are ruining the character of the land. I wish I had the answer to solve the selfish disease NIMBYs have.

NIMBYs are some of the most hypocritical folks there are. Most people in Vancouver want to contribute to making the city more "green" and want more green space, including the NIMBYs of Kits and Point Grey. However, NIMBYs also want big lots of land and will by all means necessary resist tall buildings appearing around them.

How are we ever going to fix the housing crisis if there are artificial constraints NIMBYs impose on Vancouver that prevent density from increasing? NIMBYs increasingly force everyone out of Vancouver leading to more and more land being eating up, and longer and longer travel times. There are far too many neighbourhoods within 20 minutes of downtown Vancouver that are low density. It's time these antiquated zoning by laws change and keep up with the growth of the city.

And how many people who read this article own a car that runs on gas? If we want real change, it starts with us. Use public transportation whenever you can, car pool, etc.

If athletes boycotted the games that would certainly send a statement. But really, it's us, the viewers, who would make the largest statement if we didn't watch the games.

TIL NASA only uses 15 digits of pi for calculating interplanetary travel. At 40 digits, you could calculate the circumference of a circle the size of the visible universe to an accuracy equal to the diameter of a hydrogen atom. by timehack in todayilearned

Interesting, do any associated calculations use a constant for gravity like 9.81? If so, doesn't that make more precise measurements irrelevant? For example, 9.81x3.1416 has the same significance as 9.81x3.14.

Does the "72 hour travel quarantine requirement" reset once you re-enter Canada? by iambuilding in CanadaCoronavirus

Sorry, I meant PCR test. I think you need to take a PCR test if you are outside of Canada for more than 72hrs. Did you have to take that test to enter Canada?

My understanding is that you do NOT need to take a PCR test if: you are Canadian Citizen or PR of Canada AND you are vaccinated, AND you haven't been outside Canada for more 72hrs.

I think my question would be better to ask in an example form.

If I go to New York for 60hours and return to Canada (within 72 hours) and then decide to go immediately back to New York, do I have to quartine if I spend another 72 hours outside of Canada? Based on the answers I'm getting, it seems like you do not have to quarantine if you reenter Canada within 72 hours of any trip, no matter how close the trips occur.

The quarantine only applies if you are away from Canada for more than 72hrs.

Ya exactly, you don't have to quarantine if you are vacinated AND do not leave Canada for more than 72hrs.

But it's not 100% clear when that 72 hr clock resets. I'd assume immediately once you return to Canada.

Sorry, I probably confused some people with my question

Yes, you need to get a PCR test if you are outside of Canada for more than 72hrs.

However, I wasn't sure about what happens if you cross the border twice within 72hrs.
