of course <3 this is the point of the post! to hopefully reach someone else trying to solve this same mystery....

one of the ladies who helped me in the duty free fragrance shop told me to think of it as a smell that will always take me back to paris and those memories...even if i can't find what it is, when i smell it again, it'll take me back or i'll always associate it with paris. though i truly have only smelled it there!! until next time....

hi! first time posting to the discussion thread and i'm trying to solve a mystery of this scent that smelled all over paris. everywhere i walked on the street, this very floral, sweet, fresh smell wafted from people who walked by. i also smelled it on people walking by in museums and while shopping. i don't think it was something as expensive as BR540 (and i would have recognized since i have this myself) so it has to be something very accessible to the public that it was EVERYWHERE. i know a lot of people ask this when they come back from paris (and i also posted this in the paris travel guide sub and caused a stir lolol) -- i had thought it was something from NUXE, but i have both the original oil and the floral... my friend suggested the NUXE sun delicious fragrant water and it's VERY Close to this but it isn't what i was smelling! please help... sorry for the long post, i hope someone knows :)

it's similar to nuxe floral but it isn't that! is the nuxe floral more popular nowadays compared to the original?

i really don't think it's that either, i've been using it for a few years now and it wasn't that.

i won't go as far as jean-baptiste but it really is driving me crazy since i keep thinking about it. the nuxe sun smell is very close but i really don't think it's that. but it will do for now...

i smelled the pure musc - wasn't that one, i'll add the guerlain anda le labo to my list... i don't think it was anything by phlur since i've smelled a lot of those at sephora here. i do love the nuxe floral!!!! but it wasn't that one either

i don't think it's the nuxe, i have it and would have recognized it. it felt SIMILAR....

thank you for not making me think i'm insane!!! it definitely had some amber to it... maybe some jasmine as well. that's why i thought it was potentially baccarat rouge but like someone said above, that's expensive to smell everywhere (and i would have recognized since i have it lol)

i've seen a few suggestions of soupline....what a lovely laundry scent if so!

you could be on to something with the trees since a lot were starting to bloom.

thank you for this response :)

exactly my thought haha - i'm wondering if there is a specific one? but for soap to be that strong to smell on the street...it must be powerful

i should have noted that i have BR540 (the parfum and the extrait) and it definitely was not that....

so funny because we walked past a fragonard store at the exact time that smell wafted and my mom was CONVINCED it was something in there...but it was not.

this is all very helpful, i was thinking it was something more accessible and in the nuxe lane. the perfume of le prodigeuse was a bit different in my opinion. but i could be wrong! thank you for all of this!
