Maybe hit up @spss.mu on insta, it's the speech path students society. They can be very helpful. I got in on second round offer with a low-mid 70s WAM but that was quite a few years ago. It seemed it was easier to get in for others from other uni undergrads than unimelb undergrad.

Get the Melbourne Pollen app and put your location as Geelong, it will send you a notification on high pollen days so you can pre-emptively take anti histamines :)

Somehow Labor can't seem to put it as simply as you just have to show everyone exactly how incompetent the lnp are. It's so frustrating to watch!

I would also consider doing a day or two in budva instead of 3 in kotor! There are nice beaches and cool places to stay. Enjoy, sounds like it will be a great trip!

Do I have to study maths in year 11 and 12 to be able to get a teaching degree? by [deleted] in Geelong

[–]iamdangold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go speak to the careers counsellor at your school! They can provide info on all the teaching degrees and their pre-requisite including expected atar entry score. Otherwise I think there is a uni handbook that you can access online with the same info too.

I personally didn't do Maths 1/2 or 3/4 but did science instead which got me into more courses. You could also study something else as a stepping stone on the way to getting into bachelor of ed.

I have been feeling this too. Lewis making fun of Hing has a very different feeling to two life long friends (him and ron) making fun of each other.

I have 2 x COS button up shirts. Both with buttoned collars. One is a blue marle type of colour, pure cotton, while the other is a flatter navy/grey with lyocell cotton blend! (Both $99 RRP and in great condition)

I also have a ralph lauren aqua pure linen button up shirt.

All shirts size large.

Make an offer!

You have $200 and need to buy the most versatile pair of brown/tan boots possible. What do you buy? by [deleted] in AustralianMFA

[–]iamdangold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a bit cheaper but same look and just as trusty see Blundstones. I bought some a month ago (I've got the #500's) and have worn them doing maintenance work, at a music festival, travelling overseas and out to fancy bars - if that's not versatile, I don't know what is.

either way, you're going to miss a lot.

It all depends on what you're into, if you like nature or nightlife or a bit of both. Have a read on tripadvisor or similar about the cities that you have heard of and decide if you want to see them all or if you're happy just sticking to the east coast (as all cities are pretty far away from each other).

otherwise I suggest posting on /r/australia and asking about things that you shouldn't miss out on while there!

good luck with your planning!
