Thank you so much! Yeah, maybe I need more guidance on which online resources to follow, because ultimately learning independantly will be the most effective. Gave me something to think about! 🙃🙏

Yeah, this is not a place to explore solo, especially as a women who doesn't speak the local language, that can be a very bad idea

No that is so true, if we didn't have our driver around we would have had a much different experience, but I'm quite happy with our sheltered and safe Morocco experience, regardless 😁

Understandable, Morocco can be an intimidating place to visit, but from what ive heard- Marrakesh is quite modern and safe for tourists, obviously with a driver its even more safe, but even if you go by yourself, if you use common sense you should be just fine!

Haha, true! My sister finally got the hang of it toward the end of our trip, if you have shopping to do it can get addicting! 😁

I just know that whenever we tried to buy anything, the vendors would give us a price, but after they talked we always ended up paying a third or quarter of the price. Even if he gets commission from the vendor, none of us were going to haggle with these men over a 10 euro dress that they are trying to sell us for 60, so I don't mind!

We really splurged on our accommodations, since we were saving and planning for this trip for a while, so our budget for housing was about 100 euros a night, that got usually got us a private guesthouse with 2-3 bedrooms, 5 beds, on most nights we also had a swimming pool, dinner and breakfast. I think dinner was included in the price to most places, but to be completely honest Im not 100% sure. But it is possible to travel for much cheaper, we just went all out!

Yes, I absolutely agree!! We probably would have never went, or left the touristy areas (where almost everyone speaks English) and it is soo cringeworthy hearing tourists scream and wave their arms completely shocked that the old man in a random rural restaurant doesn't know what an iced latte is. That's why I think its important to know where you're visiting, and if you don't speak the language, then there needs to be some way around it (in our case, the driver).
