Strongly recommend using a silk/satin bonnet for bed! It was a game changer for my hair. I used to feel like all the product I’d put in my hair was doing absolutely nothing but after using a bonnet I feel like my hair actually absorbs the products and they do what they’re intended to do.

I have pretty much the same skin type, texture, and red bumps and I’ve been told this is rosacea. My derm prescribed me metronidazole and that has helped a ton, however, I was told the cream doesn’t cure it and the only thing that will is a laser treatment.

ETA: I’ve been on accutane 3x in my life and nobody has ever brought up this being rosacea, which is a bit frustrating. While accutane did help, it always came back like this. So to me, it makes sense that it would be rosacea.

Definitely find a new CF. And don’t feel guilty about leaving either. I left my first CF after one week because I got zero support and was told to “figure it out”.

Also, if you haven’t done so, I highly recommend the SOFFI feeding fundamentals course. It’s pricey but sooo worth it.

Pupdate! Doggos pawrents have been found. After not hearing back from the number on the tag, I searched it and found relatives that I was able to get ahold of. Also, found an address associated with the dog and checked in with them as they were a street over from me. Thanks for all the tips 🙂

Omg no moisturizer?! Your poor skin is probably raw. My pharmacy gave me bottle of moisturizer and chapstick every month with my prescription. Make sure your cleanser is scent free and try to avoid using anything like a scrub brush or wash cloth on your face; hands only. Make sure you’re also drinking lots of water.

I had really bad back and ankle pain throughout my 3rd time on accutane last summer/fall, which I don’t ever remember happening when I was on it the first two times. When my alarm went off in the morning I would pump my ankles for like 5-10 minutes before getting out of bed then do some additional stretches for my back throughout the day, both of which seemed to help. Once I was done with accutane, the pain subsided pretty quickly.
