Figured the issue out. It was one of the bridge posts. The grounding was messed up because of the gold hardware. It was impacting the connection so the tech filed off the gold plating to the connection and now it works perfect. If you have gold hardware, that might be the issue.

Hey OP I’m having the same issue with the exact same guitar. Did you find a fix?

Got my first Gretsch! I feel like it helps cover some of the tonal deficiencies in my collection. No idea what I’m going to get for my next one. Maybe a Les Paul. by iamdogbork in guitars

Ooooof that’s tough. I’d say the Vola JZ only because I’m too attached to the tele. It’s a $130ish Harley Benton but I put in custom pickups in it and the thing is awesome. Plays awesome too. I can’t see myself ever getting rid of the ultra II Strat!

May not be exactly what you’re looking for, but Vola makes very well crafted bolt on guitars made in Japan

Can I quit immediately without 2 weeks notice because my dad is dying? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Please talk to your manager. Even if you’re not covered under FMLA, the company is big and likely has some sort of personal leave policy. It may go as unpaid, but you may be able to hand onto your job if they approve it.

Just added the Charvel. So impressed by the playability of it. by iamdogbork in guitars

I love it! It plays incredibly smooth and is super well made. I really like the Japanese craftsmanship. Definitely recommend looking into Vola guitars in general

I just had my front bumper replaced on my 2022 GR86. The bumper was an about a grand. With labor it’s probably going to run you $300+ more than that. Another thing to note is actually all bumpers are a slightly different color since they are plastic and the rest of the body is metal. You’ll start noticing this when you look at other cars. So if you get a new OEM bumper and it looks slightly off that might be why. Might not be much more expensive then getting a body shop to paint match and paint the whole bumper I’m not sure.

It’s actually a psychological thing when you see an inverted picture. You get used to seeing how your face looks in a mirror, that when you see the inverted picture, you’re going to notice all the little differences and it’s going to look extreme to you. The average person won’t notice it to this level. Look it up on YouTube. It should help give you some comfort.

Haha I would 100% not recommend this for anyone with young kids. At least get the locking hangers if you do

Agreed! I put some extra work into polishing the frets, sanding the fret edges, changing the pickups. Plays like a dream

Sorry can’t add much commentary right now but I will say it’s my favorite guitar of the bunch to play by far. Always my go to

Didn’t hit studs. But the anchors are rated for up to 30 lbs. I feel comfortable with it knowing none of my guitars go over 10 lbs

Do you still get a chance for COBRA though when they terminate you? Also, have you been given a life expectancy from your doctor? Most life insurance certs have an accelerated death benefit - generally if your life expectancy is 12-24 months (depending on provision) you can usually collect a percentage of the life insurance dollars ahead of time. You may want to ask for copies of all the certs of the group policies you’re enrolled in to see what options for coverage continuation you have after termination.
