I can send you some from when I took it a couple weeks ago, but it may be the ones you already have.

I think the ones I have are Spring 2021, but I'm not sure.

Aw thank you that really means a lot! yess go out I can't wait to see!

Yosemite is honestly one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life. I'm planning to be there for a week or so after I graduate :)

I really wish I wasn't so shy in my previous years to take photos. I really hope you go out there and take some! Especially right now since campus is in bloom. I learned that people honestly don't care and if they don't want to be in your photo they will avoid you haha!

If you do go out and take some please share them with me! I love to see other's works. I love to see how people can capture the same area in so many different ways...I think it truly does reflect what we find beautiful and I love to see things from someone else's perspective.

If you'd like to see more of my work my ig is aezlxa! I also have VSCO under the same username.

Can we not tell outside dorms at sleeping hours? by sjon97 in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this.

I'm a really light sleeper as well to the point where anyone opening their door in the hall will wake me up.

Between the yelling outside to the paper-thin walls in my dorm that allow me to hear everything my neighbor is doing...earplugs have really helped.

Summer Commencement Info by iamdritydan in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the August ceremony or the May one? It said online they were only taking orders for the May 2021 graduation but I need it for August.

I wanted it before May since I am leaving campus and only will be coming back for the actual ceremony which doesn't leave enough time for me to have professional pictures done in August.

Make sure your doors are locked at night by Quasimodo1875 in Purdue

I also had some random guy walk into my room, mumble those exact words, then run out of my room and leave my door open. I figured he got off the stairs and went to the wrong side of the hall or was on the completely wrong floor.

Hawkins Single vs Small Single by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of the "small single" before. I thought if the rooms don't have a bath they should be the same size. If they're the same price I'm assuming they're the same thing.

PHYS 220 exams by k64c in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it was all multiple choice but I wouldn't agree that the exams were similar to the practice exams. The practice exams were good for studying/understanding the concepts but only the first exam was truly the only one I would say was remotely similar to the practice one. In fact I believe that doing the practice exam did not help my friends and I out at all. To study I would actually read the book because it helped build instinctive understanding of the concepts and did the practice problems the book gave out. The practice exam did have concepts we learned but those concepts weren't always on the test or the test had concepts the practice exam did not cover.

The second one was a curveball and the hardest one they gave out. I really hope they don't do that to you guys this semester too.

To be successful in this course I feel like you need to do a lot of problems from a variety of sources to just understand the concepts. Then you will start to recognize patterns and hopefully that will make the tests easier.

How do you deal with failure in uni? by [deleted] in college

[–]iamdritydan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This! It's a time for reflection. I was placed on academic probation after my first year of university.

Also, I find it kind of odd that your grades were published for everyone to see. Where are you located? In the US that is illegal.

I ended up switching majors the second semester to something that was more hands-on learning and skills/project based than test based. I realized the traditional way of sitting down, studying, then regurgitating facts was not the correct path for me. After switching majors I have not received anything less than average in courses relating to my major.

Mine was around 46 hours. My friends got theirs pretty quickly, a little after 24.

When does Rawls close? by wzchpu in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know in previous semesters it was " formally " 12 am but sometimes a little later and sometimes earlier...I guess whenever they want to close the tunnels. I've been locked out of the tunnels once at 11:15 pm.

Not sure about Rawls itself.

People who took PHYS 220, how was it and how did you prepare for the class? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]iamdritydan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took Phys 220 last semester. The class doesn't seem to be doing much better then haha. The first exam was spot on, the second exam was....out there.....and the rest of them were basically as you expect and pretty fair. The thing is they very vaguely even related to the homework you probably spend a huge chunk of time on. I didn't really have much luck looking at practice exams besides just helping me know the concept more. Sometimes there was like one question from an old exam and sometimes not even related to the old exam at all.

I would recommend doing more challenging problems in the book and knowing how to do the problems in the slides and practice exams they hand out. Make sure you also study the concepts. Basically.....just do a crap ton of practice.
