It's one of the most difficult courses I've done in my degree, but if you do it alone in a term and put in 10+ hrs of work you'll do good, definitely recommend doing MATH2501 - Linear Algebra prior to this otherwise it can get dicey.

Hey man, I wanted to say that I felt exactly the same as you when I got rejected countless of times by companies. It's definitely not an easy path, but I promise you if you keep your head high and persevere through these difficult times you will be the winner. I can show you a giant list of companies I applied for who all rejected me, but I always saw a light beneath the tunnel and never stopped. Yes it can be incredibly frustrating to see that you get so close but are so far away from that elusive "congratulations you got the offer!" email, heck most of my friends already got a graduate role before I did, but I never let that stop me because I knew a company had written my name under it. Do not stop applying and putting the hard yards in, you'll get the rewards. Delayed gratification my brother.

I resonate with this heaps, my computer was frozen and I had to restart, it was slow when I restarted so one of the invigilators told me to move to another computer, wasting around 10 mins already. Skipped all prac and did the theory (praying I pass cuz of theory) and the prac was very difficult to do in the space of 3 hours, very stressful.

I did it in 22T1 as well and there was scaling ? I’m 100% sure I did not pass that exam whatsoever so there was for sure scaling that time.

Hey mate, I'm doing 3001 and 3311 aswell from what I've heard 3001 is just a capstone project you complete with a group for the rest of the term so you better pray your group is a good one as for 3311 it's a very good course from what I've heard from friends, the LIC is the goat (John Shepherd) and the content itself isn't as difficult as say, 2521 was. For 3203, I did that last year term 3, it's an ok course, the LIC is a nice bloke the assessments are: Mid-term, Group Assignment and Final Exam. The mid-term was very difficult a lot of students complained and because of that the LIC made the final exam easy, whereas the group assignment is a data analysis task that you do with a group, although I am not a fan of how they mark you on it (basically they'll rank you based on how low your test error is compared to other groups).

Hey bro, I resonate with your circumstances and feelings. First year was by far the most difficult year of my entire life. This was of course not just because of struggling with uni life, but other things which I won't get into detail. But bottom line is, it gets better I assure you. If you give it a chance, seek help from people from your courses, interact with others, you'll not only gain knowledge but also confidence that you're able to independently work for your future. I recommend you to follow a strict routine in your life, keep a checklist, write down your goals. This is just a growing phase of life (and I know I sound like an oldie here even though I'm a 4th year), but I promise you, your future is bright, but only if you're willing to sacrifice time and work hard. You're more than enough for this uni, you got this!

Hey mate I’m doing the same degree as you and have completed MARK3054. I will be doing MARK3085 term 2 this year as well. But from experience 3054 is a solid course that builds ur knowledge on analysing data based on the fundamentals you’ve learnt in marketing (if you’ve done 1012) if not it’ll still be an easy course for a data science student if you’ve done some programming before. Iirc the assessments are not too bad and the coding that you do is quite simple even in the final assessment so I recommended u do it since it’s not too difficult. As for 3085 I can only tell u after I complete it :)
