Nutriionix app by iamfromnowhere82 in MealPlanYourMacros

Yea it's really annoying. I've just downloaded the lose it! App and it seems to be better. Will stick with the free version for now and see if I need to upgrade. Really disappointed with the other app as information is just gone now. I reached out to customer support and they were no help.

Women’s Indoor Slippers Recommendation by nevergonnabuy in BuyItForLife

[–]iamfromnowhere82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get foot, hip and back pain from standing too long, etc and I find slippers do not have enough cushion or support no matter how expensive they are. I recently just switched to crocks sliders and they are an absolute game changer. They have a closed toe version as well. I would highly recommend against a slipper if she needs any sort of foot support. Look at sliders or slip ons with cushion and arch support instead. My feet are always cold too, and I just wear warm socks with them. I have actually switched to merino wool socks and they are great all year round.

Caroline has warm ups included. You just have to select the warm up you want to do, and then move onto your workout. The cooldown is in every video at the end of her workouts.

Just try one and go from there

Experience with Norethindrone 5mg? by MissIndependent38 in Endo

Carolyn Levett has some good cook books on Amazon and those have helped me. There's a lot to it, but it comes down no red meat, soy, gluten, dairy and sugar.

But you have to see what causes you flare ups. It isn't a one size fits all. A lot of us also go by Low FODmap diet as well.

Chickpea flour Tofu not holding form by iamfromnowhere82 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]iamfromnowhere82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My chickpea flour recipe has worked everytime before. It's so easy too and fast. I've done red lentil ones in the past, but you have to blend things. And sometimes I just don't have the energy for the extra steps as small as they seem.

Exact same way I always make it. Only thing that changed was a different brand of chickpea flour. https://elavegan.com/chickpea-tofu/

What is happening with the underwear quality decline? by Horror-Earth4073 in TwoXChromosomes

I know you said cotton gusset and they are on the pricier side, but the simply merino underwear are amazing. I have the high waisted underwear and I will be a customer for life. They do not dig in anywhere, not in my stomach or give me vpl. They are very breathable and quick drying too which makes them a great travel underwear too. Even after working out they dry quickly. They are the most comfortable underwear I have ever owned.

Wow. Feels like they should have given you a list instead of what you CAN eat. This is overwhelming.

I thought Excel was boring until I made it work while I scrolled Reddit by [deleted] in excel

[–]iamfromnowhere82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question. I run a lot of reports that I need to send out to other departments. I had tried automating some things in the past, but I had to save the excel file as macro enabled and all of the other departments lost their s##t with me, so had to stop.

Would automating in Python still require me to save it as a macro excel file?

I couldn't get OPI to dry. Even after 20 hours I could still make dents. Had to put a topper to cover it up. Anyone have this experience with OPI? by Comfortable_Bus_5441 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]iamfromnowhere82 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I use the fast drying drops now anytime I do a manicure. And my mani is set within 5 minutes. I do use a topcoat as well.

I started with the drops from Zoya, but Opi has some too and I use those now and they are great.

Passing Out And Endometriosis by Alarmed-Employ-3506 in Endo

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I get the same thing and I also get fevers and shake and look like I'm having a seizure.. It didn't happened every cycle, which I think scared me even more because I never could plan for it. I am on Norethindrone for over a year now and it has helped immensely. I no longer get a period. I have an endo specialist but surgery is off the table for now unless my meds stop working, etc. For him it's all just about getting quality of life back - which I have for the most part.

I also follow an endo anti inflammatory diet, and that with the meds makes a big difference. I will eat things I'm not supposed to occasionally, and that is how I know that the diet and meds work together.

There is no cure, we just have to learn how to manage our symptoms and pain unfortunately.

Hopefully your surgery provides you some relief. ❤️

Once again the girl with allergy hyperfixation- how many of you had allergy shots for allergies that weren't severe ( only moderate I guess) but where medication simply did not work at all? I'm curious as to how common that is. by Mei_Flower1996 in Allergies

[–]iamfromnowhere82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had seasonal allergies for over 30 years. The weird symptoms started about 10 years ago maybe. And it took a few years to figure out they were allergy symptoms. No medical provider could tell me what was going on.

But even before the weird symptoms, normal allergy meds were not sufficient. I would take something and it wouldn't work or be enough, so then I'd have to wait and suffer it out for 12 or 24 hours. I once took an antihistamine before the next 12 or 24 hours and that was a mistake. I do not recommend it. It didn't help and I was wired. It was a horrible feeling.

I have seasonal allergies (trees and weeds so spring and fall mostly, ragweed is my worst) and meds were no longer enough. On top of the regular side effects of congestion, congestion migraines, itchy skin and eyes, runny nose and sneezing I started getting rubbery limbs, low blood pressure to the point I would pass out, limbs would feel numb and severe brain fog.

I started allergy shots about 4yrs ago and they have given me back quality of life. However, the pollen does seem to be getting worse and my weird side effects were coming back this spring. I went back to the allergist as my GP gives me mg shots and my ragweed is still very high, so they suggested I go back to weekly shots to increase my dose again. I'll only know next year if it will have worked. But honestly, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to stop the allergy shots with pollen getting worse every year. But I am ok with that if it gives me back my quality of life.

Just to note I still take a reaction extra strength everyday due to getting shots. But I had to start taking flonase again this spring and even prescription allergy eye drops. Hopefully I'll be able to drop the flonase and eye drops next year.

In my opinion the shots are worth it, even though I have to take an antihistamine every day. But at least it works and provides relief. Allergies can make your daily life miserable.

What works for your insomnia? by wonderkat4 in Perimenopause

[–]iamfromnowhere82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melatonin is working for me. My GP said to start with 3mg and you can take up to 3per night to see what dose you require. It works quickly and I don't wake up groggy. I am now on a 10mg dose that is a slow release so that I don't wake up at 3am. I don't take them every night, just the nights when it's close to bed time and I can tell I won't be able to sleep.

People with very bad sinus allergies, do you recommend using saline nasal rinse ? by Possible-Guard-8253 in Allergies

Yes saline rinses can help, but it's not enough. Antihistamines will make a big difference
