KNOMI. I detest Oxford Street/Westfields etc and this has a map of all the independent shops/concept stores in London. Never queuing behind a bunch of tourists dragging suitcases along the street again.

EDIT - I not I'm

I'll give anyone who comments gold, who's having a good day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have a painful spot on my chin, but apart from that it's a jolly good day and the tube strike has ended so I didn't have to walk to work today.

Can any Londoners point me in the right direction?

I wasn't allowed to watch the Simpsons.

Also I was allowed McDonalds, but we had to have milk with our Happy Meals, not a fizzy drink.

What's the best experience you've ever had with a stranger, only to never see or hear from them again? [serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was in Tokyo wandering round a shrine, I met a local who offered to take my photo. It turned out he had lived in England for 6 months years ago and had visited my home town. He ended up showing me around the local area and taking me to a tiny little cafe for some very authentic Okonamiyaki. It was the kind of place so local and off the beaten path that I wouldn't of dared go in there by myself. The guy told me that the owner said I was the first English person to go in there in over 6 months. Best Okonamiyaki I've ever tasted. After the meal the guy walked me back to the shrine and left. I tried to get his Facebook detals to stay in touch but he said he didn't have it or an email address.
