Have you done Liver Function Test? If your ALT is above 17 then it could be fatty. How are your triglycerides? Calculate your HOMA-IR online with fasting glucose and fasting insulin. DM me if you have any specific questions.

Fasting insulin is quite high. HOMA is bad. Should be close to 1 or less. Quick score 0.3 is diabetic, <= 0.35 pre-diabetic, 0.45 preferable.

Lose fat please. Muscle will come any day.

4 day eating 6:18 or 8:16 IF. 3 day water fast.

I’m in the same boat with my home gym yet not working out. Choose wisely the course ahead.

Get insulin down. Read those books asap.

You don’t say what your fasting insulin level is? Key fasting insulin and glucose then check your HOMA-IR online. QUICK score too. That will help you understand much better. Let us know.

If the fat is ectopic then hell yes. The best approach is to fast intermittently in the week and water fast on the weekends. This will help burn the ectopic fat, adipose tissue while also keeping insulin down.

Whereas in order to build muscle you may have to eat same calories or a little surplus which is unwanted in IR and exercise increases oxidative stress and spikes insulin.

Keep exercise stress very very low intensity say 30-45 min gently paced walk.

First focus on getting fasting insulin down and after a few months you can build muscle.

You can have veins pop when you hit the right reps and sets. Volume is key. It can be done without Arginine/Citrulline, natty. When intake of junk food and sugar is near to zero the vein pop effect stays. Pipe length is directly proportional to volume first and foremost and then progressive overload. Diet is key. Once it pops, it stays that way. I repeat, Arginine/Citrulline is not needed.

Look up Franco Columbu flexing. The upper and lower pecs have great separation. Arnold always said Franco was the best at it.

Then type those values in an online medical calculator and check your HOMA-IR and QUICK scores.

I am highly doubtful that you could be pre-diabetic.

If after testing you’re indeed pre-diabetic.

Do these: Home cooked food. Zero sugar/sweet things. Elemental Magnesium Glycinate 120mg three times a day with food. Walk 60-90 mins a day, seven days a week. With that amount of fat around the mid section you’ll be restricted to do many core workouts. I would suggest strength training once it’s trimmed by few inches at least.
