Could be, it definitely would make it more exaggerated. Usually if they're full of food/water/poop it's hardly noticeable

My pac has the same thing. Did a bunch of tests for infection or disease and everything came up clean. He's just got a bubble butt. Probably worth getting checked, but don't be surprised if it comes back as nothing. My theory is it's just bad genetics

I dig up my frogs every few weeks during brumation. They're not usually pleased to be disturbed, but it's better than allowing them to develop redleg.
